rabidbee Lovely little flick of the heel to win a 50/50 ball on the edge of the Wolve box last night, just a shame that it ran a bit too wide for him to get in a shot. Besides all of the runs and trickery last night, I was also impressed by a couple of simple-yet-dangerous balls last night, like when he played Bryn into space, who then set up Noel on the edge of the box. That's an element of his game that has been lacking in the past.

Agreed. He also made a couple of very good interceptions.

kebe is class, all this talk about s.hunt having release clause of £5mill, i would personally swap that into kebe's!!

he just needs to kick on from that performance and keeps it going CONSISTENTLY

You need to rethink that, me thinks.

The Real Sandhurst Royal I have not been a Kebe fan you never know what you will get... against the Wolves I thought Kebe has his best game in an RFC shirt his teamwork and contribution to the win was excellent.

Yeah, I thought he turned in an 8/10 performance actually. One of the reasons for this is that he offered surprisingly good protection to his right back who was clearly out of his depth in a game like that. Kebe worked hard, won some tackles, and broke dangerously from time to time. Good game - more of the same please Jimmy.

Also won a surprisingly high number of headers from throws etc.

Consistency is a major part of being class mate. Last night was one of Kebe's better games, but we'll probably get 3 shite performances from him now. Did you go to Swansea, he was utterly embarressing.

I thought he had a good game against Wolves last night. Less attacking than usual, but his deep position probably indicates team orders bearing in mind Kelly was new to the job against a team that attack down the flanks.

Glen Little = Pure class, end product, but lacks pace or would have been at a bigger club than Reading.
Jimmy Kebe = Pace to burn, touches of class, but sometimes no end product or would be at a bigger club than Reading.

Kebes performance at swansea was part of an abject team performance, and was one of his first games back from suspension. Last night was back to his pre suspension best. Still our best attacking outlet, provided crosses, passes, and a couple of nice flick ons.also protected kelly all game, tackled, tracked back, hussled, marked and headed the ball in his own half. I see him continuing to improve from here, including a goal vs qpr!

Agree with those who say that Wolves performance was Jimmy's best in terms of committment and work. Best I've seen anyway.

For a player that has loads of potential, it’s a shame he never uses it.

Why would you want to add a clause into his contract that would allow a club to buy him off us? We surely don't want to sell somebody who is 'class' at all, whatever the price? The release clause in a contract is not beneficial to the selling club you know, it's there so the player can leave for a BETTER club.

It was a good defensive performance and he had to be fouled a few times to stop him, but it wasn't his best attacking performance. Not his worst, not his best. However, if he keeps the defensive performances up, I don't mind.

Kebe did well last night, can he back it up at qpr, or will he go missing for the next few games?

Good 3 line summation.

For me he LOOKED very dangerous and broke at them a lot. BUT Didn't really produce a good enough final ball often enough again.

Best player we've got for the right, but I'd much rather drop Long from the bench and have Henry as cover for when he has a real duff day, or we don't have time for his brand of 1 good final ball from 5 great attacking opportunities (which tbf he often creates himself).

Don't get me wrong. Kebe is one of the best right midfielders we have had in a long time. He is a good player. However on one or two occasions he strolls down the line where he could use his pace to destroy the Wolves back line.

Sometimes he tries to just burn past the full-back. Other times he stops and goes again cos he knows he can normally beat the player from a standing start, if he's got some space to work with.
Sometimes he stops when he should have kept going.

Last night he kept his play much simpler instead of trying to humiliate the opposition. His pace is his doing and undoing sometimes. His flicks and tricks and pace make him a huge asset to us.

He certainly scares the shite out of defenders, and has a marvelous habit of getting a toe to a ball he has no real right to, then jinking past a couple of players. If he had the level of final ball to live up to the rest of his attacking prowess he'd be in the Prem for sure. And fairly high up it.

It's just frustrating see him do so much hard work then fail when it comes to the easier bits.
