Out of interest and relating to a couple of good calls on here about Carson especially, was Vickers on the radar? Scored plenty in the u18 didn’t he?

Difficult to talent scout with the U 18’s as all we see of them is in the FA youth cup. It didn’t take long in seeing him at Sutton and home to Southampton and Swansea to realise what a talent he is.

Yes he seems to be the one player who runs in a forward direction (sometimes even with the ball), but I'm sure it's just the disjointed preseason everyone's had and that Selles will soon be able to get him out of that habit though.

Be interesting to see who comprises the u21s tomorrow and whether there's anyone there able to put pressure on for a place in the first team..

So, when are we signing Wareham and when is he getting promoted to the first team? Who else looks ready for the step up?

Good to see Abrefa back

Couple of impressive performances from Wareham. Sounds like worth a shot

Definitely seems to be some good coordination now with the first team - couple of the lads playing could swap in fairly seamlessly

Classy performance from the U 21’s. If Wareham and Clark are still playing as trialists then get them signed as both were impressive. Tuma with pace to burn caused problems for the Palace defence all afternoon. Early days but 2 matches and 2 wins is impressive.
Roll on the 2nd match of the week on Friday evening against Newcastle at the SCL stadium KO 7pm.
My mate and I were possibly the only 2 paying punters !! :)

Would Wareham know Elliott from his Chelsea days? Do you feel that he has the necessary attributes to play in League One already?

Wareham is small and stocky but puts himself about and with great hold up play. Certainly know where the goal is with 3 in 2 games. I feel a big step up but certainly could look after himself.

Thank you, I think being able to look after himself is a big asset. I have a lot of faith in our youngsters and I have always felt that League One could be the making of them.

If he can fit into the Selles pressing system then a one year deal seems a good bet.

Actually seeing the goal up on Twitter. He can do backflips so that seals the deal for me. Sign him up

And Wareham & Elliott have played PL2 and EFL Trophy games together for Chelsea.

Goals on the Reading OS already   but you need to have a login to the site to be able to watch (just scroll down and there's a link on the left side in the videos section). Probably only up as the game was played at St Georges though!

Wareham reminds me a little of Robert Fleck/Paul Brayson in physique but obviously a little bit more promising in knowing what to do with the ball!

Jake could be Jack Timberlake who was Sub on Saturday. He could be an ex Flackwell Heath youngster.

Impressed listening to N Hunt about the last two games. Seems to actually be some joined up thinking with the first team - proper path ways, playing the same style. Working really hard to find the right players for the system

It’s that which has allowed us to find the likes of Binden and Carson out of nowhere and move them into productive first team players.

Wareham again from the little bits I’ve seen sounds like a hard working, pressing forward who can finish

As mentioned, you’d be happy with any of Abrefa, CBC, Dorsett, Craig, Rushesha, Senga coming straight in if and when needed. It’s a very good place to be and something that was massively missing under Ince
