brendywendy i do hate him, but you cannoty argue with his record, and therefore his ability.

+1

Whatever Spacey says his record is pretty good on a £'s spent ratio to achievement.

Not the only source to say that, either. A couple of the other papers said they thought it would be 15.

This could ruin the league this year, postponing the play offs til its agreed! What the hell. Might as well tell em to fcuk off and let 7th in the Play Offs!

I can see a hefty points deduction and in typical Reading fashion we will end up third and in the highest of play-off positions....I believe we will finish ahead of Swansea
Maybe I will be wrong but I cannot see QPR pushing this through the Courts causing the cancellation of the play-offs. It would cause chaos and potentially impact upon the start of the Premier League campaign next season.
Even if they are deducted 15 points I reckon they will ultimately swallow it.
I hope Monday's result against Sheffield United doesn't come back to haunt us.

Well if this is story is true, then the FA have screwed themselves over by speaking to the press in any form. Gives QPR's lawyers ammo to state that the hearing has been prejudiced and a decision made prior to a hearing. I could see this going to CAS if this is true.

IF it is 15 points, I'd've thought sides in the POs would object.

As it stands, we would have to play them in the semis (tho they could easily miss out or we catch Swansea...)

01 44 +24 80 Norwich City
02 44 +25 79 Cardiff City

03 44 +21 74 Swansea City
04 44 +25 73 Reading
05 44 +38 70 QPR (-15 Points) <<<<<<
06 44 +12 69 Nottm Forest

07 44 +17 67 Millwall
08 44 +05 67 Burnley
09 44 +09 66 Leeds United
10 44 +04 64 Hull City

Saturday 30th April 2011

Coventry v Reading
Hull City v Crystal Palace
Leeds v Burnley
Millwall v Swansea C
Forest v Scunthorpe
Watford v QPR

They might object Snowballerz but I can't see it taking them anywhere. A bit of posturing going on at the moment. In reality I reckon the play-offs will go ahead on schedule.

I'd be utterly amazed if the FA have said anything.

Maybe someone in the FA has speculated to a Sun journo, but I don't think as an organisation they'd say anything!

The "as it stands" bit is a tad premature from our snowballing friend.

From Sky today..
---------------------------
An FA spokesman told Sky Sports News: "We won't speculate or discuss anything related to the hearing."

A spokesman for QPR said: "We will not make any further statement as both the club and the FA agreed to make no comment on this matter until after the hearing."
--------------------------

Maybe the reason Colin has publically seemed so unconcerned is more to do with him being gagged, rather than any confidence in the outcome.

One can only hope so.

To be honest, now we can't catch Norwich and Cardiff I'm desperately hoping this doesn't happen. Screw justice. It's only the Sun so I don't trust it, but were it to happen, there would be 4 big losers. QPR, and the other 3 teams who go into the play-offs with the best team in the league.

On the face of it, yes. But it seems to me that QPR may have the worst form of any of the top five at the moment. And psychologically they may not be right for the playoffs. Just a hope, anyway. Presume we couldn't play Leigertwood, though.

Why give QPR the chance to go up through the play-offs and obtain the parachute payments and all the tv revenue etc that comes with the Premiership. If they are found guilty, they should be deducted enough points to see them well out of the play-offs and consider themselves lucky that they weren't relegated.

They should be deducted any points gained while the offending player was on the pitch
