Superb today. Made a huge difference, as did Karacan.

Just need to drop Leigertwood for Tabb and we'd have a solid midfield for once.

We'd have a tiny midfield that would get bullied. As for Guthrie, ok but nothing special.

Looked OK, gave the ball away a few too many times for my liking but a bit of rustiness is to be expected after 20 minutes of Premier League football over the past two months or so.

Shame Tabb is the one missing out, I can't help but think he's the most likely to actually show some intelligent movement and interchange of passing with Guthrie out of our other three midfielders. Karacan has a tendency towards headless chicken and Legs is immobile and totally out of form.

He might be a headless chicken but i'd rather have Jem than Gut(less)hrie. We've missed him more than we've missed Danny boy imo.

Didn't you see Guthrie's hard work rate and putting himself into challenges?

Blinkered view as always.

Agree. Karacan and Guthrie are 100x the players both Tabb and Leigertwood are

There are rumours Stopilla Sunzu is on his way over to complete his move. If that's true, that's two new first team central def.mids on their way.

I have a feeling Guthrie is on his way out either this window or certainly in the summer. Still no sign of creativity.

Perhaps he's on a different wavelength to the other players.

Well, he is another Marek Matejovsky, I'll give you that.

If he doesn't fit into our system and our style of play, then why is he at the club?

Our system and style of play is the problem.

Im a Guthrie fan but I thought he was the weakest player today. His decision making and execution was below par.

FFS I don't understand how half you don't realise he is not a CAM. He plays in front of the back four.
