What way are Reading kicking this half? Both teams seem to be heading for the South Stand!

Sutekh That play was terrible, from a throw near the Burton corner flag all the back to Pereira, says it all

This play is, in fact, normally OK and no sane manager would question it.

Reading aren’t necessarily failing to press - they are keeping a good shape off the ball and avoiding the hazard of chasing it and opening up gaps for the opposition to exploit.

yeah, lower energy than Hunt's press-press-press approach, at the expense of sometimes being flat footed and reactive.

It’s cr@p, in the 90th minute with a 1 goal lead I could understand it more.

It's fine and sensible. Game Management isn't just for the dying seconds and one goal leads.

If there's nothing on, its absolutely fine. Ball changes possession at least once, if not twice, every minute at this level, so keeping the ball for a few seconds longer is not a bad thing.

Rather be entertained in the 60th minute than watch such negative tedium, it’s not like they haven’t won for 20 games or something

The game has been plenty entertaining. I think you should watch basketball instead

Considering Kyerewaa should have two goals and conceivably could have three or four, he's been absolutely everywhere and had a great game.

Burton style of play has really suited us: very direct and very narrow. Don’t remember a single instance where they have run at our full backs. Which is our weakness. We are pretty solid through the middle. So good luck to any team trying to play through us like that.

The first half was entertaining but seems Leam has delivered another “safety first” team talk and we’ve got another second half that’s just pants.

This! They’ve beaten Cardiff and Bradford away, so perhaps can teach Reading a thing or two when the time comes.

Not sure what any of the whinges are about tbh, I found that an enjoyable watch.

Really like Fraser alongside Wing. When Savage came on he apparently played in the hole but I found it difficult to tell. I still long for the day we give Wing a go as AM.
