Terminal Boardom In fact, today's game which should have helped lift my mood has only confirmed that this will be my last season wasting my hard earned on Reading FC. I am sick of the boring, middle classness of the club. The total plasticity of the place. If the middle classes want to turn up then go the the oxf*rd rugby. That IS your game, this is mine. I am sick of jobsworth stewards sneering down their noses and suspecting any and everyone of being an axe wielding, child eating thug. Getting children on the mic? oxf*rd off! I dont spend my money so some Jemima or Tarquin can be a precocious twat. And the flag waving nonces? Get rid. The TVJ's were bad enough, but this? Entertainment? WTF is entertaining about that? Now, if the man with big hair were to be butt-oxf*rd in the centre circle by some leather clad S&M bitch with a 4 foot long strap on, well, that would be fun! But watching the shit on show today feels as if it is me that has been slammed.

wolsey
ZacNaloen New team, slightly nervous disposition = a bit of stage fright. He'll grow out of it.

It was the "start playing a bit of football" I didn't get.

Anyway, is playing at the Madejski more stage fright inducing than playing at the Hawthorns?

Sorry, I didn't mean "start playing a bit of football" in the sense of start getting into the team. I realise he's played plenty of first team football.

I meant "start playing some football" in the sense of passing it about, being positive, driving forward, and so on.

BTW Zac, from all the WBA and MKDons forums I've read, they've said the opposite. Fine going forward but an accident waiting to happen at the back.

not a great game (but for once I am on Royalees side here).

Saw a lot of players that I never seen in a Reading shirt before, and I saw a lot of them losing the ball..yet working their arses off to get it back again. The spirit was right, and the result flattered Doncaster (whom I have never, ever, until today, see play so cynically)...how the hell they finished the game with 11 players defied belief.

Yes, I know...its another blank at home, but for Neil Sullivans world class save, it would've been the victory that we crave.

(this is where I lose all parity with Royalee) Thought Gunnar was MOTM until he was crocked following "yet another" Referees intervention.

Chin-up folks, our 2009 team finally made their entrance today.....we didn't actually lose, and Donny beat (the altogether and blooded)Cardiff 2=0

My random and ill informed thoughts.

First off it was a job to see anything from the East Stand as both sides seemed to have come to an agreement to play the whole game in the shadow of the West Stand.

We seem to have taken about a metre off the sides of the pitch, no idea why.

People around me said we were playing 4-3-3 but I couldn't discern any shape, at least in the first half.

Enough flashes of skill from many of our players to give hope, but we didn't play as a team. Doncaster played as a team, just not a very good one.

Gunnarsson and Howard both played well whilst Hunt looked like he would have if anybody had actually got the ball to him. Cummings and Kebe seemed to be playing a game of pretending they couldn't see one another.

Special mention to Hunt for the superb tackle on Kebe first half.

Ref and ginger lino were unmitigated shite.

Because he's the best creative midfielder we have and demonstrates it with every appearance.

I appreciate you have a blind spot with this so you're just going to have to trust me.....and the international manager who picked him game in game out before he was injured/banned.

Once the first time you saw the players at 2.55,before that no bullshit.the whistle blew at 4 40 to signify the end of the game, the players waved and went off and I was home just after 5 pm,no gimmics,no one telling us "To make some noise for the boys" bollocks,we were working class people that knew how to support our team.Half time was just ten mins, enough time for a piss and get back to your place on the terrace. It only became a middle class club since we have been at the Mad Stad, well good luck to you,you have finally taken over,I imagine most posters on here are middle class

So what if they/we are. Football is the nation's game, not the peasants'. This club is the whole town's, not just those who live in the scummy areas.

every appearance??????

Have to admit, I was impressed when virtually his first touch was a tackle unfortunately the ref/linesman buffoonary gave it as a foul against him.

Sorry, he just does not do it for me....

I even started applauding and heralding him....until I saw the number on the back of the shirt of some random newcomer who looked a bit like him.

The argument is why is the club catering to the middle class. Which other club in football would make a little shit scream" back the boys make some noise" prior to the teams coming out. It was bad enough with the muggy PA announcer doing it, now we have kids doing it too? FFS its patronising, annoying and cringe worthy and ONLY at reading fc.

Very disappointing after the great display at Barnsley but our two best players there were ineffective today. Siggy bossed the midfield at Barnsley but was shifted today to a wide role where he was not really in the game. Kebe did his usual thing of folowing a good performance with a crap one. The main difference however that we reverted to playing in our own half and did not adopt the more direct style which was effective at Barnsley until too late in the second half. Still on the plus side Chris Tarrant was back for the first time this season.

tbf i was at darlington last season and they had a 'kid on the pa, for a day' thing going on. next to delia's centre circle antics with the twelve finger gang, that was one of the most uncomfortable live football experiences ive had.

Not the best game.bit dull.shit crowd. But the gloom on here is a bit much. We played well, nice football all over the pitch. Howard and odea look to have extra quality.rasiak looked a handful.cummings ok.berti good, again.sigi good again, bryn and kara solid.back four comfortable, kebe and ref dogshit.but surely enough to see things coming together. I fancy the win on wednesday.
