GYLFI!!!!!!!!!

by IcelandicStokie » 11 Aug 2010 18:57

Sigurdsson has scored an outstanding goal from a freekick for Iceland U-21 to put Icelandi 2-1 ahead against Germany. He setup the first goal in front of many scouts. No wait is now 3-1!!! against the current holders.

If he's still here come September then there are some seriously stupid managers in the Premiership.

£4 mill and they'll get one of the brightest talents in football, absolute bargain IMO.

We wouldn't let him go for £4m. Not now.

I could see someone putting in a £7m, first refusal, offer though. He stays until the end of the season, learns a load more, then, no matter what anyone perceives his value as, he could go for £7m... mmmmaybe.

Ifnything around the 3-4mill mark that was said to be needed to sort out the finances gets offered and we could be waving good bye to Sigg :x

Finished Iceland 4 - Germany 1. The holders are out and Gylfi has a chance to play at the U-21 European Championship final next summer. Without a doubt the man of the match tonight, what a player!!!!

If we are going to sell him, we could do a sale where he spends the season back on loan with us.

Although I'd be oxf*rd annoyed if we went up without him.

Sadly we know what will happen if a decent offer comes in, he will be gone, and another sign of Madejski's burning ambition will be clear for all to see.

If we would accept £4M why put a £5M release clause in his contract. Mind you £5M is not enough if you ask me.

Just look at some of the prices young Championship players have gone for in recent years. Anything under £7 million would be a massive let down. though I'd rather he stayed.

If he's going to go we will, of course, hold out for the biggest price we can get. We don't have to sell because we are already "cutting the cloth".

Anyway, I thought this subject had already been discussed at length pre-season and he wants to stay here for the time being rather than (potentially) sit on a bench.
