Spud Gun Was anyone expecting us to win this with Harte & Howard starting and playing a negative 4-5-1 formation?

McD missed the opportunity in the January transfer window to bring in a decent central midfielder as back up for Karacan and Leigertwood. We have paid the price for this the past few games. The team is nothing without Lege and Karacan in the middle...

While Reading have 1 decent established centre forward then there is no chance of anything more than midtable. I think Manset will be decent but he's definitely one for the future like Long was when he first joined. They needed someone like Fryatt or Mackail Smith or someone of that ilk along with Manset. Not a lad from Eastleigh. Church and Hunt are just not of the standard required. hunt as 3rd choice ok, but they are deperately short of quality at the top end of the park.

That and one of Reading's best players occupies the bench every week.

Royalee We wouldn't have gone down, end of.

And you know that do you?

Yes.

Rodgers made some errors but towards the end of his time with Reading we were very close to becoming a decent outfit. We were creating chances, conceding very little, but were just lacking 2 proven strikers. Would have been interesting to see who he would of brought in January. (Heard he tried to loan in Griff and Khiz in August but failed!!)

At the same time you could argue that it was very easy for McD when he came in. He didn't change the system, just the personnel and was a very good motivator (something Rodgers lacked IMO).

Staggering.

Let's all commit suicide in the stands against Watford. That'll learn Madejski.

West Stand Flash Yeh shut up coz were a great side, it's great being an average mid-table side who couldn't win a game for toffee. Goon!

I'm honestly puzzled as to what you and your father (squeaky SDR) get out of supporting Reading. I can't be arsed to address your whinging and moaning because quite frankly that's all you ever do. Both of you only ever seem to appear on here when things aren't going so well.

Your dopey old man comes on after every loss spouting shite about real facts. You come on and peddle the same old shit. Is there anything you enjoy about football or supporting Reading? I'm guessing not. Maybe time to fcuk off eh?

Haha 'I can't be arsed to to address your whinging', yet still you waste your time replying to me. Prick!

Wake up you tart and realise that 3 years ago we were a premiership side & now were a below average championship side. How are d*ckheads like you happy with this??? You need to get a life mate. Reading FC = family club of the year. That translates to power puff fans who have no passion.

Bore off!

Yes, sonny, I can't be arsed to go through all your points is what I meant. Please don't tell me about supporting the club. I've been going since 1970. Still, I expect you and your old man will carry on posting shite. I just felt like saying something tonight. Much love you homophobic little twat.

Rodgers thought Tabb was a right back and produced one of the most tedious to watch Reading sides I've ever seen.

He's fallen on his feet going to a club that do things his way and a team that's been in the top 10 for the last 2 seasons.

McDermott picked the pieces up and transformed Reading into a decentish side again.

If you lot seriously expected Reading to be top 6 this year then it's you lot that's deluded not the board or management. Deep down they know where the club is at as a whole. 9th-14th place.

+1.

We don't have that extra bit of quality that would have put us in the playoff places this season.
It's a shame as the league is quite poor this season, if were consistently performing to our best we would have had a good shout of promotion.

As it is, we are pretty much where we deserve to be, considering the inconsistency and the errors and the lack of cutting edge every other game.

Once we sold Gylfi we were a mid-table championship side. Knew I was right to be gutted when he was sold.

Sort of agree, but take away some recent duff refereeing and we'd be on 47 points and 8th ...
(I know, it all evens out in the end)

just listened to donuts after match blurb... sounded just like billy big watch before he went. he actually thought Reading played well..

until we get some pace in the defence we have no chance of playoffs..

Havn't heard the interview, but from the sounds of it we did play well in the first half (except for taking the 15 or so chances we had).

Madejski....... once again enjoying life at the foot of the table

Thought we were mid-table - have we been docked points or something ?
Maybe for going into administration ?

I could make a monkey out of you, but why should I take all the credit?

Meh, don't expect to win much anymore, so no shock. Knew we'd have conceded a late goal before I checked the scores earlier, normal routine. Rather we just drew 0-0 instead of giving the fans hope then pissing it away with schoolboy mistakes late on.

Going nowhere this season as has been stated, 12th place finish.

its a shame we didnt collect 3 points tonight as realistically we need to win our next 2 games to have any chance of scraping into the top 6
