Shaun Cummings

Hold my hands up. I got it massively wrong about him. I remember watching him in despair in October 2009 when we played Cardiff and were losing 1-0. They were down to 10 men yet he refused to cross over the halfway line and looked a little lost.
He has come on leaps and bounds and is really one to look out for next season.
Well done Mr Cummings.

He's proved to be quite the good luck charm this season.

He did well. Composed on the ball.

That Karacan is awful though. Runs about alot, but no abilty and weak.

McAnuffs first touch was woeful all night, but he did score a good goal.

Agree with all that
I remember in the chat room last season, I think. I said 'Maybe McDermott could work his magic with Cummings like he did with Kébé', and I remember someone telling me that he couldn't because Kébé at least had skill.
Next season will be a real chance for him and I expect as Griffs gets a bit older he'll wear down in fitness and Cummings will get more time to shine.
Remember there is a reason why Chelsea kept him for a while.

He didn't do a lot tonight but what he did, he did competently and well.

There was an occasion after about 70 mins when he got the ball out wide right and could have gone for glory and lost the ball, but he very sensibly held onto it and passed it inside. Great display from him, under orders no doubt, followed them to perfection.

shows being a plastic Chelsea fan means you know nothign about football.

Cummings was very solid, not brilliant, but out of position that was a very very good display.

Always rated Cummings as a player with aa lot of potential myself.

To be fair to Kes, I too thought Karacan was our weakest player tonight. Tremendous energy and enthusiasm but he gave possession away far too often.

Still, it shows how well we played when Jem's being singled-out for criticism.

Well done Shaun - he did look composed on the ball and was always looking to pass it out.

Not the pace for a winger but surely our future right back post Griff....

Did everything you could have asked of him. Composed on the ball, used his pace well to close down and one or two half decent crosses.

Important part of a great team performance.

You're wrong on Karacan and correct on the rest.

Karacan causes the opposition to make mistakes by putting pressure on, he's not a big tackler, but that's not his game and that's why we were unbalanced until we brought Ledge in this season.

I thought he did what he always does so we'll have to agree to disagree.
