I seriously believe we will go down this season...We are haunted by the play off defeats.
Even though we have lost just two players and brought three new..The team collectively is not playing well.

Just look at Southampton,Brighton,Norwich,Swansea, Blackpool.
They have all gone down..Rebuilt their team and taken the Championship by the scruff of the neck.

We need an injection of confidence. Brian said it after the game that none of the team have confidence. Ian Holloway said after his Blackpool game Saturday it's amazing what can be achieved with confidence. Just look at what we did in the second half of the season last year?

This league is hard to get out of because anyone really is capable of beating anyone. So a decent run of confidence to a good team (which we are) will see points soon tally up.

We need to just get a win, not a draw, but we need a win whether it be scrappy or of quality starting with Donny Saturday (A win Saturday could be a huge turning point this season). That will be somewhere to start the confidence and be a platform to build on.... hopefully?

We certainly do not need to get relegated (and I can't see us getting relegated), that would be a massive massive fall and IMO would see us about 3/4/5 years backwards.

No we definitely don't need to be relegated.
What we do need is to ban the Chairman from making blind statements about the team being already good enough to challenge for promotion while making it blindingly clear to the players that he considers them to be grossly overpaid and that the Club has zero ambition to go anyway or win anything.

He has done a fantastic jo for both the Club and the Town but the sooner he gets to hand over the reins the better. It would be a real shame to see the club drop out of the Championship during his ownership but that is where his policies are taking it.

Lower corporate hospitality

All the better players go
Good youth players will get snapped up by better academies - why would they go to a League 1 club when they could go to a champ / prem academy instead

I'm one of them.
Under the present financial regime, were we relegated, I can't see a way back to where we are now, let alone where we were in 2007.
Some of the RTG's state that if things were looking bad, then the club would act, sign players, change manager, whatever, and get out of trouble.
The obvious flaw in this argument remains: if you can't guarantee success by buying players, how can you guarantee safety by using the same methods?
