Not sure how to phrase this but just suppose after all this due diligence stuff new conditions are imposed on Madejski. And then SJM himself decides that the new investors are not acting in the best interests of the club. At this stage what would be his options?

It's not worth thinking about. SJM needs to sell as well as wants to sell. 49% means he still has some say in what goes on (I imagine), and stage 2 (final buyout) is scheduled in 2 years time.

Worrying about that is like worrying that if you get out of bed you might die today.

Lots of things COULD happen but more than likely wouldn't.

Ultimately both parties seem like they want this to go ahead so I'm sure any concerns can be addressed without the deal collapsing.

All conditions were laid out from the beginning. At this stage Madejski is still the owner so can obviously stop any investment or take over at any point. However this is not the case and the investment will be confirmed shortly.

I am reckoning on Wednesday next week for confirmation so as not to distract from the game tomorrow or the build up to the West Ham game too much - Wednesday being the players day off.

According to my sources, we are looking at bringing in Benik Afobe from Arsenal's youth team/reserves. A young striker - could be good.

Dare to Dr£am Friday's Legacy also saying something similar.

@ReadingFC TSI very close to completing their takeover of #readingfc. Hoping to hear something positive very soon.

Brilliant. 8)

From same source that told me Mullins was signing before it broke and another reliable source. Not sure when an announcement will be made yet but it sounds positive. I don't expect we'll hear anything until next week as it could only act as a distraction for the Blackpool game. Sounds very positive.

I bet Anton is going to be pretty p*ssed that Antonio gazumped him at the last moment!

I didn't realise we paid our fringe players that well.

I replied to you in the other thread. We could clearly see Samuelson chatting with SJM at the end. They were all smiles.

So all would appear to be well (unless Samuelson is a 2 faced cnut).
