Horrible feeling about this season...

by FiNeRaIn » 17 Mar 2012 16:12

I'll be honest, im gearing myself up for double disappointment. You just KNOW this'll be the birmingham season all over again. We'll get fvcked out of second place by the horrible mercenaries west ham and their 9 strikers and then lose to someone shite in the play-offs because we are gutted on missing out on second. In a way I hope we lose the next 5/6 and then make a late surge back into the play-offs with momentum.

Saints are out of reach, they keep getting lucky breaks and are a one man unit, unless lambert gets injured they will win it.

Yes finerain you are a negative twat, bla bla bla but i KNOW some of you feel exactly the same and you can see it coming too.

I hope someone bumps this to prove me wrong if it happens...but im dreading it tbh.

But we are second.

For a few minutes we were top.

Enjoy the present. We all know there is a lame play-off semi-final exit ahead of us, but that's football. Just enjoy the wins.

Unless we can beat them away, in which case, we'd be net 1 point above them - hardly out of reach....

Sounds like they got some luck today - I cannot see them being lucky every game until the end of the season....

Pretty shocked at your failure to determine what fishing is tbh. Anyone with a brain can see this is a genuine post.

We all have that dread, finerain, but it is us coming up from nowhere, the pressure is on Saints and, especially, West Ham. No way are Saints out of reach. Hull away on Tuesday could be tricky ( as will Peterbro for us)

I think west ham are the one's with the big pressure. once again they've spent silly amounts of money and tried to buy their way out of the league with their mercenary approach, if they don't go up there could be big consequences and everyone knows it, they are brute forcing their way to staying in the race. Southampton I don't think have much pressure, perhaps im being a bit harsh in saying they are a one man team as they have a few other good individuals but lambert just scores out of nowhere and wins them games by himself, I don't think there is pressure on them at all because no one expected them to go up. I don't think their run in is that bad either.

I know where FR is coming from.

To me this feels a bit like the year we lost to Walsall in Cardiff. Hopefully this time we won't be the third horse in a three horse race.

Couldn't disagree with you more. In the past yes I would agree, but this feels a much stronger side with key players in there. I don't look at any of those around me and wish we were them. We are as good as them and this is now in our hands!

I like the strength all over the pitch. I like the way we prepare for games. I like that we are confident and hustle everyone we play.

Out of all the top 8 sides I expect we are the ones no-one wants to play!

Also your comment abouts Saints being out of reach is nothing short of ridiculous. We could have been above them tonight, AND we still have to play them.

It was almost as stupid as your comment that Saints are a one man team.

ditto.

I'm sure others fear us most but being a Reading fan you can't see it yourself. I just can't be that objective unfortunately.

Come off it. You invited the abuse. Mind you, it is Spring so gardening will be high on your list of things to do. I look forward to seeing you dig yourself a few more holes.

Yeah, when Southampton pulled it back today, I just felt that it might not be our season...
