Where is Brian Howard?

by LoyalRoyalFan » 30 Apr 2012 18:47

Looking at all those photos from the parade etc, I can't spot Brian Howard.

Surely he should be there? He might not have featured heavily this term, but he has been here for a while now.

Not allowed near the trophy for insurance purposes as he was highly likely to mistake it for a foil wrapped chocolate trophy.

who cares ... He handed his transfer request in so as far as I am concerned he has no part to play at Reading... I would normally say good luck to him at his new club but in this case I wont..

For loyalty he gets a big Screw you Howard

The guy was behind Karacan, Ledge, Tabb, McAnuff, Gunnarsson and finally Mullins for a central midfield spot. At his stage in his career you cannot blame him for seeking first team football. Purely speculating, there may (?) have been a falling out along the way and/or he may (?) have been awkward in helping a loan move/permanent move to happen (both of these things would be regrettable) but if neither of these have occurred then you can't blame him.

Personally, I would find it hard to celebrate winning a trophy if I had not played any pitch minutes.

Graeme Murty was celebrating.

I imagine they were celebrating as a team, just like us fans were. I agree though that I wouldn't feel right accepting a medal when I had no on the pitch (or off the pitch) contribution to winning it, but as a fan I wouldn't say no if they offered me one.

He's been coming to games regularly, saw him with the rest of the squad for the Leeds game.

I rate him as a player. Why wasn't he celebrating with his team-mates though?
