Sell-on fees for Gylfi and Mills?

by riverroyal » 04 Jul 2012 15:16

Does anyone know what percentage Reading will get as a sell-on fee for Gylfi and Mills?

Could be over £10million for the pair, so I reckon it could be a million or two, enough for another player anyway . . ..

If we were able to negotiate a sell on clause (possibly unlikely due to the large transfer fees that we got for them), then it's probably only a percentage of any profit the selling club makes. If we do get anything, it'll probably be quite small.

Gylfi... I'd say a cool £1 Million.

Mills... A Mars Bar and a packet of Flaming Hot Monster Munch

The rumour for Gylfi was between 10 and 20 percent of the fee.

It seems sensible to me for any percentage to be of the profit.. I'd expect us to have one normally, but perhaps not on Gylfi as it was said at the time that the deal was all upfront cash. I can't see it being relevant to Mills, even if it's fee for him and there is actually a sell on fee, I can't see it being more than a couple of hundred thousand, which, whilst nice, is pretty insignificant to us now.

No one can give you anything but speculation, unless they are Brian McDermott, Nick Hammond, John Madejski, or the player themselves.

This could be the last thread like this for a generation of fans thanks to our new billionaire owners. Make it count.
