Royal Ginger Very happy with how Kelly performed today. He showed to be a very good defensive RB (which is first and foremost what is needed). I'd rather Gunter if we're chasing a game in the last 10 minutes. Where does this leave Cummings? Champ loan would do him a lot of good.

I'd rather Gunter end of, Kelleys ok on a day like to today where we do get the rub of the green but the same ammount of balls still came in to the box and does not get up and down like Gunter

Gunter is light years behind Kelly in every respect and, if I was Cummings, I'd like to know what he's done to still be 2nd choice and not third.

Today was the first day of our season playing with a defense worthy of the top flight (even Federici had a decent game :| ) and, blow me down with a feather  we get our first 3pts on our travels.

Kelly, in my view, will prove to be one of the most important signings of the season.

Been just as good as Cummings and the previous incumbent of the shirt until Kelly arrived.

Neither have been good enough but Cummings has been no worse than his rival defensively and better going forward.

I'm liking him more with every game. That and his comments that this has been the best move of his career.

Kelly getting in on the Trapattoni-hate, accuses the Ireland manager of defaming his character and denies issuing the manager with a 'play me' ultimatum.

Did he or didn't he, that is the question?

If he did, Trapattoni has a point.

Considering Kelly said on the radio when asked if was called up "The boss said he wanted try some younger players, so I said that's fine" (prior to calling up, not knowing of any potential controversy)

I'm siding with Kelly on this one, either that or Trap is a total knob.

This will be the same Trap that didn't know Ian Harte was Irish. Hmm, I suspect your second option

Ireland should have fired Trap after the Euros, that was embarrassing
