For Reading? Off the top of my head, these have been our £1m+ signings

Top:

E Fae £2.5m
G Halford £2.5m
A Mariappa £2.5m
C Gunter £2m
M Mills £2m
M Matejovsky £1.4m
K Cisse £1m
SK Hyeon £1m
L Lita £1m

Out:

G Sigurdsson £7m
K Doyle £6.5m
S Long £6.5m
D Kitson £6m
M Mills £5m

Plenty more such as Sonko, Shorey etc but those have been the biggest outs that I can remember.

Did Halford leave for the same as we paid for him? And Fae maybe as well.

Halford left for £3m IIRC, Fae was probably slightly less than what we paid. In all of these deals there are usually so many add-ons and conditions to be paid that god knows what we actually spent/received. For example I can't imagine Kitson hit many of his targets! ;)

Getting rid of Mills for £5m was hilarious. Hammond completely mugged over Leicester

Unbelievable that Gunter is "worth" £2m.

I think what's slightly alarming is that Matt Mills probably had the best Reading career of any of those listed :|

Close between him or Lita right now.

Emerse Fae - Toilet, what 8 appearances?
Halford - 3 appearances in 6 months then flogged.
Mariappa - 10 appearances so far, jury is out but he's hardly been stand out so far.
Gunter - See above but even less impressive

Mills - captain for 18 months, led the side to Wembley, 2 FA Cup Quarter-Finals and was an automatic choice for Brian McDermott.

Matejovsky - In and out of the team over 2 1/2 seasons never had a sustained run yet alone sustained run of success
CIsse - again see the above, never really settled on his best position, was useful but not a million pound player
Hyeon - Brilliant first 6 months but petered out very quickly and left within just over a year.

Lita - Good first season but was patchy, went 4 months between league goals, got a bit of form back then broke his ankle. Struggled for first few months in the Prem then scored 11 in 12. After that he managed just two Reading goals in his final two seasons.

In my eyes Lita had a decent time but Mills had the longest period of consistent selection and performances.

talk about naive!! what is quoted in the press may be different to what is paid, no trasnfer is done on the same way - some may be an up front fee with costs spread over number of years, games played, etc

yeh, but ill bet they didnt pay as much as that in the end due to the few games he played - we may have benefited from the sell on, who knows

I was under the impression K Cisse was closer to the 500k mark than 1million?

edit - Wikipedia puts it down as 1 million euros (with the source being our web pages)...so closer to 750K?

Mariappa has add-ons and will be our record signing unless we do spend 'big' this month.
