Stewarding /Policing yesterday

by SHORT AND CURLY » 17 Mar 2013 13:58

Surprised no one has mentioned it but I thought the Stewarding /Policing yesterday evening was was extremely over the top.
I saw at least three Reading fans kicked out for very little, for example on the concourse at half time having the audacity to answer back after being warned for swearing, then wound up by the Stewards and Police before being arrested/ejected.

Having been to quite a few away games this season this was by far the worst.

I would estimate that they had more Stewards and Police in the away end than we get in total at the Mad Stad

No wonder Old Trafford is a library because if you get up and shout, you get warned with the threat of ejection.

Very poor GMP Very poor.

This is one of the reasons i can't be arsed to go to away games anymore.
All away fans are treated like hooligans and old trafford is probably one of the worse. I'ts just not worth it.

Was quite Ironic when Stewards who were standing were blocking Man U fans view in the box.

I had the displeasure of meeting the same obtuse steward again blocking the entrance to the stand and making physical contact. As I stated - this is a fire exit, kindly refrain from blocking it. The same issue with the Police. It kills any form of atmosphere or the chance of it anyhow. It wouldn't hurt to be able to interact with the away support and actually do their job in an approachable manner.

Paying my first visit to the Emirates in 2 weeks and taking my little boy. I've heard from a Fulham fan at work that that place can be a nightmare too.

Just be warned that the seats make it impossible to sit back down without almost falling over.

Very disappointing ground and a not too impressive view. Wouldn't go again unless it was a particularly big game.
