QPR prediction thread

by floyd__streete » 23 Apr 2013 12:49

'ding 1-1 QPR, l8 equaliser from Remy and we're both relegated. Cue my early departure from the ground, missing bloodshed as both sets of fans Rumblestick each other to death in scenes which make the WACO Siege look like a scuffle in the bus queue.

Definitely a draw with both teams getting relegated together later in the day.

We can't get relegated later in the day (as in a few hours after our match has finished) - I guess you mean if Villa win on Monday night?

I think a lot will depend on how Wigan get on on Saturday. If they win then a draw would relegate both us and QPR so I wouldn't expect it to finish as a draw - because presumably both goalkeepers would be going forward for corners etc. as a draw wouldn't suit either team at all. But if Wigan don't win then a defeat would relegate one team so it's likely to be a more cagey affair (a bit like the old case of Golden Goal.)

To be honest, I think we're going to get relegated this weekend one way or another - would be nice if we could take QPR down with us I guess.

Head says a solid win for QPR, 0-2 or 0-3

I think they have WAY more class than us.

But a draw that sends us both down, two clubs with different
strategies failing miserably, seems more apt

Worse, it we DID win well and the others lose, then that flickering candle gets just a bit brighter
and we start saying stuff like Man City will be trying their kids, Fulham have nothing
to play for and we could go to West Ham needing a win..

How have QPR way more class when they are level on points with 4 games to go?

0-0
Mccarthy keeping us in the game and Reading showing their pathetic amount of striking options.

Obviously they have a much better/more expensive team than we do. But they have done no better than us this season.

If McDermott was still manager I would have said, Reading 1-3 QPR

Under Adkins, from what I saw on Saturday I am going to be optimistic and say,

Reading 3-2 QPR

McCleary
Le Fondre (2)

Samba
Remy

Could easily be 1-1 or similar though, like it was in the reverse fixture. If its a draw we both relegate each other don't we? Has that ever happened before?

4-0 - Guthrie, McCleary, Pogrebnyak (2)

Might be a bit over enthusiastic so 1-0 Alf or Carrico 88th min
