Pleased with this, but the top comment on the Forest Facebook page doesn't fill me with hope:

"Some Reading scout is about to get sacked."

Every time I've seen him play against us he's caused problems, even when playing for a oxf*rd team like QPR

Welcome Mr Mackie, very pleased to have you here and looking forward to seeing you form a partnership with Pog

Unbelievable Jeff http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/mackie-pens-loan-deal-060814-1809577.aspx

ooo played in the 3-0 Dons victory against us. Was that the boxing day debacle that, I think, Jobi played in as well?
Edit: It is. Ledge also played. Presumably we're signing Agyemang and Reo-Coker soon.

He truly is here to fill the Jobi shaped hole in my heart! :)

I remember him playing in that game and thinking how useful he looked, only for him to end up at Plymouth and me to doubt my scouting credentials.

I remember being amazed how such a poorly performing and, what seemed, an exceptionally young team played us totally off the park. Shorey had a shocker iirc.

Great signing.

Cant believe we have got him, the bloke may not be most gifted player around but he has so much desire it will hopefully rub off.

Good signing - always looks decent when I see him.

Makes me think of a hobbit for some reason - has he got big feet?

From the evidence of today Mackie will fit in perfectly if we are going to be pressing teams. He can run all day.

Well pleased with this. I've always rated Mackie, I remember him playing very well that season QPR went up and we lost in the play off final before he got injured. Thought he did quite well when given the chance in PL as well, would have done better if QPR hadnt wasted their time with so many overpaid has beens. I think a couple more decent signings and this summer will have at least not have been the disaster that I thought it was going to be.
