McCarthy, Cummings, Gunter, Morrison (C), Pearce, Guthrie, Karacan, McCleary, Drenthe, Le Fondre, Blackman

Subs: Federici, Gorkss, Mariappa, Williams, Akpan, Robson-Kanu, Pogrebnyak

Wayne Bridge (knee) and Jobi McAnuff (back) both miss out through injury. Stephen Kelly not here as his wife recently gave birth!

Not to bad

Still would have liked a hungry Pog instead of Blackman

No Kebe, no Bridge, No Pog.

Blackman and Le Fondre up front?

Think our side looks really average now. Worried about this season.

Sign a oxf*rd striker RFC!

You even included the superfluous exclamation Mark when you copied from the RFC twitter feed

I know but that's my point. I think we'll miss him and think a lot of this 'it's ok we have Drenthe' talk will come back to haunt us.

Bench = disinterested bunch of cretins who shipped 6 v Peterborough.

CUMMINGS starts despite possibly the worst display by a RFC player last Tuesday in years. I suppose the cupboard must be bare if he's involved.

Pog is a waste of time and space, so why isn't someone like Dom Samuel or Gozi Uqwu given a bit of bench time? They will be far more enthusiastic getting a 20 min run out than the Pog. (Subject to not having checked to see whether they had an Academy game earlier).

Seems our 1st XI now picks itself - which is a shameful state of affairs given a) how large the squad is, and b) our stated aim of going straight back up.

Drenthe is definitely going to phuck off in a huff at some point this season. I'm resigned to it.

Kebe - doesn't want to be here or play.
Bridge - yep, he's a blow.
Pogrebnyak - doesn't want to be here, couldn't hit a barn door right now.

TBH. I'd far rather see Samuel or Ugwu on the bench over Pog. Kelly, Bridge and McAnuff are the big misses in that team / squad. We desperately need Samuel / Ugwu to step up or a new striker in.

Williams is a good player, but absolutely mustn't be used as a sweeper ahead of the centrebacks. Needs to play far more advanced.

I'm kinda wanting to argue your point, but can't. With 3 absentees, our squad looks bare.

Not happy about our subs bench but I suppose that's all we have got to offer.

TBF everything looks shit after a 6-0 defeat to a lower league side. We could have Messi playing and it'd still feel like we were rubbish.

I think 3 signings is sufficient and we really do need to try our our academy players, make the step up.

Cummings and Gunter both give the ball away far too much for full-backs IMO. I predict a score draw here.
