NA said Drenthe and Williams will most likely miss next two games.
McCleary was a gash only.
HRK only cramp.
McAnuff told a fan before the game as he signed his shirt that he was fit.. the club said he was injured.. NA said he started training yesterday.. [McDermott injury]

In fairness NA said after the game that Jobi started training yesterday, and would be in contention for Tuesday. Seems completely reasonable for a player who's been out for three to four weeks to not feature one day after starting training to me....

kwik-silva Karacan's just said he's going to be out for at least 6 months and recovery begins after the op on wednesday.

oxf*rd. why is it always leeds who ends karacan's season?!?

what about drenthe? i saw he had an injury but what specifically is the injury?

TBF it was Karacan who ended Karacan's season with a cretinous challenge this time. The opposition had nothing to do with it.

Both Drenthe and Williams have foot injuries of some sort.

Kanu took a bit of a battering from some Macedonians whilst playing for Wales.

Ok so Drenthe seems to have joined the long term sick note brigade. No word of him even beginning to start training again yet. I thought he was supposed to miss ''one or two games.'' Does anyone know what's really up with him and also Williams? Not such a resilient struggle pig as we were led to believe.
Billy Sharp - what a great stop gap he's turning out to be! What has he played so far? 10 minutes?
Ledge seems to have multiple problems and Jem and JR clearly out for the season. We should be building a Cat 1 infirmary, not a Cat 1 academy. We need McCarthy back asap: he's saved ours skins so many times already. Bridge seems to be the only one capable of recovering from injury and returning - another example of his superiority to all the rest - and a decade older than some of them.

It would not surprise me if they are both facing disciplinary action for something considering the complete non-descript nature of their "injuries" and lack of expected return date. It wouldn't the first time that the club claims a player is injured when they're actually not, would it?

Probably not playing because the owner can't afford their wages/win bonuses.

It seems to me that the policy of signing damaged-goods fancy dans from the continent is not working--Carrico, Drenthe, Williams. Thank goodness we never fell for Sissoko.

No, Drenthe is definitely injured.

Drenthe got an impact injury on his foot against Leeds, he was seen hobbling out of the dressing rooms after.

He could probably take injections and try and speed things along but when it's early in the season and you've got a big squad it doesn't make much sense to rush him back.

The club seem to be a lot more secretive about injuries with Adkins now in charge. Even with Karacan they were very stingy with the information given.

That's what I heard too ... but it was a good conspiracy theory anyhow so well done.

Well, our head of sports science has left if that has any bearing on things..... shame to see Halabi leave.

Nick Harvey, by the way, ex- sterngth and conditioning coach at Southampton.

New fitness coach then.

Based on the number of niggly injuries we've had since Nige arrived it doesn't at all surprise me that he's brought in his own guy.

It's good that we're still winning. Imagine what we'll be like when Drenthe, Williams and Sharp return. And Legs is good cover.

P.S. It's pretty impressive we've managed to nick Saints' head of stength and conditioning. Won't have come cheap...
