Favourite Away Goal

Was rummaging through some old threads and we were comparing various away goals from the 2011/12 promotion season in terms of pandemonium r8ing. This got me thinking*, what's your favourite away goal you've witnessed?

There is probably nothing better in football than a great away goal, followed by absolute bedlam among the travelling fans.

Think of it in terms of -
Size of game
Timing of goal
Importance of goal
Opposition faced
And of course, pandemonium r8ing

I've compiled a short list of obvious recent ones, but unfortunately, and I'm showing my age here, an "other" category is required as my experience of away games doesn't stretch back much further than Curo's at Brentford. There are bound to be other ones.

Mine is Hunty's at West Ham. Just something about that goal gets me, probably that most of us were jumping around in sheer disbelief that we were winning. In the end, it actually turned out to be a very important goal.

Went for Gorkss vs. West Ham. Crucial goal that got us back into it completely out of the blue. The Hunt goal didn't feel real for me at the time oddly.

That's why I liked it.

I can see this being a shoot out between Doyle vs. Leicester and the two ALF goals.

Too many to mention. The one that still to this day makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up is Nogan at Wembley. His movement, the dropped shoulder, the cool finish, the occasion. "Nogan's done well, he's done really well.."

Amazing moment to see that go in, and the noise too!

Of those mentioned, it's a close-run thing as to whether ALF's first v Saints or Long's goal v Liverpool resulted in the most irritation to my neighbours. In both cases my manic cries of joy were ramped up by sheer surprise.
