.

Christ! Some of his fan club really are hard of understanding!

How many goals has ALF scored when he has started games, as opposed to coming on later in the game when the dynamics are so very different?

How often does he look like creating anything for himself? another area where IMO Sharp is the stronger player.

SPARTA
Ian Royal Reverted to

McCarthy
Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss, Cummings
Drenthe, Williams, McAnuff, Obita
Pog Sharp

And we score. We are better suited to 4-4-2. These players are not intelligent enough to master the 4-2-3-1 yet.

We weren't playing anything like 4-2-3-1. :|

RB. You need to change your broken record. I've already proved that opinion wrong about 5 times this season by posting up those very stats. How exactly did Sharp create the goal for himself today? Cretin.

The Prisoner Kudos for getting the Vaughan injured scoop 40 minutes after the teams announced.

I see your point, but knew last night. Teams weren't up when I posted - honest!

Oh, and apparently our H/T lead is undeserved and we are very poor according to same spy. Still it's goals that count! Fingers crossed we win again whilst not being too impressive. One day, when it all clicks, we're going to give someone a hiding - just can't see when!

Yeah, because ALF's got a terrible scoring record!

Sharp's got the shirt, could easily be either of them.

McCarthy saves our blushes.

Alf's record when starting is as bad as his impact from the bench is fantastic. That'll be why Sharp gets to start
(he repeated having now read the rest of the thread  )

Spot on. You ought to try ignoring his posts like I do. I don't normally advocate that approach but am prepared to make an exception in his case so as to not waste my precious time reading ill-informed drivel.

Sounds like Gunter is having a good game defensively.

Unusually only one home team in the Championship is leading at the moment!

Repeating it doesn't make it true. 9 starts 4 goals. 6 subs 3 goals. Basically the same record this season from the bench or from the start. Which is the only season that really matters for judging his performance and when to play him this season.

Feel free to voice your opinion on who's better. But try and make it based on reality, not an oft repeated falacy.

Certainly Sharp gets himself more involved in the game, with more touches per match. But they also average basically the same number of passes a game. And Alf's link up play (when he is involved) is woefully underappreciated by some. As is his general contribution to the club seeing as he's been top scorer (inc this one) three seasons in a row, is also woefully underappreciated by some.

As I said earlier. Sharp has the shirt and is performing well. And that's reflected by pretty much no one picking ALF in their favoured starting line up on here, rightly so. That doesn't mean everyone agrees he's useless starting. Because he isn't.

But anyway. I'd rather be trying to enjoy the game and our lead than trying to take cheap shots at our own players. But then I'm not like RB.
