Poor kid in the pic was hammered, knowing them guys when the rest turned up you could see they'd learnt their lesson, know you're limits!

Unless you're a HooliHoop, then just go get hammered.

The pub we found wouldn't let under 18's in at all so we sent them to McDonalds so we could drink :D

If you're under 18 there's not much you can do tbh.

andrew1957 Thank you Chronicle for the warning.

I was going to go on Tuesday night to the Barnsley home game but now that I know Reading FC have the most viscous fans in England I am too scared to go.

Mind you in the 200 or so games I have attended in the last few years the worst that has happened to me so far was when one of the local violent thugs spilt some ketchup on me from his hamburger - I was so upset that I nearly choked on my prawn sandwich.

Just to warn you, a few years back, the Barnsley Boys did make a concerted attempt at breaking through the gate at back of East stand.
It was terrifyingly funny! :D  :D

I hope they do that tomorrow. Then no walking all the way around the sodding stadium to get my bus...

I am completely shocked that a local "newspaper" can make such an appalling call. I haven't trawled through all of this thread so I would be surprised if anyone didn't already suggest boycotting the paper. What is good to see is the Club's reaction in refusing to have any dealings with them. I am surprised I hadn't noticed this sooner.

Actually they were Swansea fans who went in the Barnsley end for some strange reason

Has anyone seen how old Donal Mcintyre looks nowadays? That shows just how long ago that programme was. The twats at The Chronic were trying to show that they same problem exists today. It doesn't! And just because trouble makers come from Reading doesn't mean that it's Reading FC's problem!
