Makes Pearce the obvious choice then.
Missed 1 game in the last 2 Championship seasons.....

Makes Pearce a regular starter. Doesn't necessarily make Pearce a good footballer. Who was he getting selected ahead of?

Your pre-requisite was starting regularly, not being a good player. Goalpost shift. And frankly, he's the best Centreback at the club and has been all season.

It's not like we're going to be bringing in lots of new quality players is it. Unless someone buys him or Hector and to a lesser extent Morrison step up big time he's going to play most games next season barring injury.

winchester_royal Aaron Kuhl. Born leader and probably our best midfielder now Jobi has left. Will also help ward off interest from Man City.

Is this a serious suggestion? A teenager who hasn't got anywhere near the first team? I sincerely hope this boy turns out to be a good as you desperately want him to be. Personally I'll wait until he starts playing regular grown up football before passing judgement.

Didn't that used to be part of the initiation at Stoke? I'm sure i read something about their goalie fingering all the new players as part of some rugby-style initiation...

No mate, I was meaning a captain should be a a player you'd WANT to start each game. No goalpost shift.

I like Pearce but he hasn't been particularly consistent.

I'd certainly want our best CB to start every week.

Nothing compared to ex-Sevilla player Pablo Alfaro who once did the same thing to an opponent during a match. It's ok though, he is a professional.
