Good - looks like we're trying to win.

Very cool! Good to see Coxy back in alongside Pog up front. 4-5-1 would've guaranteed a loss. This is the strongest team we could've fielded...

C'MON URZZZZZZ!

Wonder what has happened to McCleary. Just knackered do we think? Hasn't seemed to have a full 90 minutes in him yet this season.

Mackie's got work rate. I'm a fan , quite happy with him on. The slightly more knuckle draggy of those on here seem to have taken a dislike to him.

With McCleary not available, for whatever reason, it is the strongest team we could field...

Knuckle draggy because they disagree with you? Really? That's Woodcote level.

As it happens he seems like a lovely bloke but has made nil attacking impact this season, and given we're heavily reliant on our wingers to produce that isn't a great sign.

Here's hoping he proves you right today.

No, it generally seems to be the knuckle dragging contingent who've written him off after a couple of games where he didn't shine, (eg the other match thread where he's apparently the reason we won't win today) whilst the more temperate section realise he's just had a coupe of games where he's not been the most penetrating.

I'm sorry - but he hasn't shone at any point this season. Shown nothing close to the form that he was showing 2/3 years ago.

Not a shiner, agreed, but i'd not give him any less than solid. Works hard, gets his passes away, perhaps not the most creative. Certainly no reason for an eye rolling "oh god Mackie's playing"

I don't think anyone disputes about Mackie's work-rate.

Just doesn't help that he is crap. Now i've said this he will go and grab a couple of goals...

I like Mackie, he's a nice guy, but he's done nothing I can defend in a Reading shirt.
Hopefully that changes today.
