No need for loan players now . . .

by riverroyal » 22 Apr 2015 14:29

Now Reading are safe from relegation, will they play some on the youngsters that started the season instead of the loan players?

Can't really see the point of playing loan players now over our own up and coming players, the majority of who haven't had a look in since Clarke took over . . .

Would agree it will be disappointing if Stacey, Kuhl, Keown, Fossu and others are overlooked in favour of Ferdinand, Yak, the Palace chap etc.
Chalobah deserves his place if only so we can recognise his contribution to Saturday.

If we could get 9/10/12 points from our last 4 games, how much extra do we earn?

Would it be better (if we can do it) to finish with 5 great performances, a lift
to morale, making it easier to get better players in, etc, keep Chelsea etc
sweet?

The alternative might be three draws and a defeat and our worst finish by a long way.

The kids will get their chance in pre-season and be on the bench next year.

Maybe they can get a bit of time off the bench in these four games, but I'd
like to (prefer to) see a strong finish to the season, built on the feel-good
after Wembley and playing a near-to-strongest side (which for me would mean
NOT playing Pog.)

Nothing whatsoever.

Might be tricky as we only have 4 games left

Agreed. Kuhl and Cooper have certainly played well enough to deserve more game time.

Agree that it's not worth playing the youngster to lose those matches - as ending the season on a high would be good for morale for next season. But there's no guarantee we'll do better with them in the team or not - after all we've not won a game with Ake, etc. in the team since they joined have we?

Think the club will feel it's more important to get the u21s promoted to the first division of the u21 league
