No doubt Bond will have a moment like the Northern Irish keeper for Tabby's goal...

Reading 3-1 Ipswich

Vydra x2
John

Tabb

Ipswich crumble as Reading's pacey new signings swarm all over them.

Bond drops the ball straight on to the foot of Tabb standing on the goal line for an Ipswich consolation.

For the first time in a very long time I'm actually excited and can't wait for Friday so I'll go for a 0-0 based previous but I'm hoping for a win, ugly or otherwise, with Blackman coming off the bench to score the winner.

4-2 to Reading.

First goal comes from Piazon in the 6th minute, after a fairly even start to the game. A powerful run through the middle, with a snapshot at the end of it, sailing past the goalkeeper's left hand slide into the bottom right hand corner.

Equaliser to come in the 34th minute, through Daryl Murphy. Reading looked on top, but a good cross finds the noggin of Murphy, who nods past Bond, who is rooted to the spot. He hasn't even had a save to make ffs.

Ipswich take the lead in the 52nd minute. Kevin Bru finds himself with all kinds of room on the edge of the box and slots past the keeper with ease.

The second equaliser of the day comes in the 69th minute - a stone wall penalty after some good pressure from the home side. Tommy Smith hacks down Vydra, who is through on goal. A penalty is given, but only a yellow card is handed to Smith. Danny Williams earns himself a yellow for dissent. Vydra slots home the penalty - top right. 2-2.

Reading are well on top now with their new-found flair, and their pressure and hard work soon pays off in the 82nd minute. Some exellent hold up play from Sa finds John, who jinks past Joshua Emmanuel and slams in a pin-point low cross to the edge of the area which finds Williams with the goal at his mercy. 3-2. Scenes.

Ola John has been immense today, and is already becoming a fan favourite. He caps his performance off with a well deserved goal in the 92nd minute. A classy assist from Piazon, who finds John with a tasty chip-through-ball. John takes a touch away from the chasing defender (Chambers), and slots home. His celebration is interesting, as instead of embracing Piazon, he sprints over to the touchline and kisses Steve Clarke on the head. One fan runs on to the pitch, and earns a lifetime ban from watching Reading games.

Soon afterwards, the final whistle blows out, and Mick McCarthy is fuming. He reluctantly shakes the hand of Clarke, and storms down the tunnel.

Sounds like McShane and Hector are both out, so I'd like to change my prediction to 3-3.

He's a 'doubt' apparently, so hopefully it's not actually that bad. Think Cooper is still injured as well isn't he?

I'm sure Keown would fill in, if he is fit. He was very good alongside Anton during pre-season.

Keown would do a job there he was pretty good pre-season. Also Gunter can move in to centre back if needed. And also we have a chelsea player on loan someone hector :-)

Maguire
MoorgateRoyal 0-1 and the boos ring out from the idiots.

Clarke changes the team to fit in the new signings and we're gash.

A marginally less poor Ipswich side score a goal from a set-piece.

Exactly this

Of course its going to be 0-0, but Ive heard rather bullish reports from the East Country and I suspect, Vydra or not, we are, at least, a season behind then - so shall we say a tight Ipswich win?
