Now I know why the press conference was postponed until this afternoon - We had to wait for 'The Chosen One' to be sacked!

Brian McDermott: "More fans here than at a Reading home game" way to become a legend Brian! #lufc #readingfc
10:59 PM - 27 Apr 2013

Knew he took a swipe at us after he left. Looking forward to hearing from him about that remark.

My thoughts entirely. Who gives a fcuk?

Welcome back, Brian.

The Reading Way wasn't working for us any more, so we changed it up (rightly), only for a twat of an owner to interfere with transfers and destabilise the club. Now we've gone back to The Reading Way. It's hard to see that as a step forward, even sideways, but I do like Brian and wish him all the luck in the world - he's going to need it with fast thinking ambitious owners who expect promotion ASAP. There's a lot of pressure on him this time around!

If there`s no upturn in form by the end of January I`m wondering how long the honeymoon will last? I won`t be doing any cartwheels of delight until I see an improvement

He's better looking than me to be fair.

On a side note, Perhaps I should stop staring at the young girls in the office. I have been persistently told there would be conseqences if I continued to be fair. They did say they would punish me.

Brendon Mackenzie Burton is a fantastic appointment as a no 2. Lovely guy and knows the game inside out. Better than the last two no hopers we've had.

Loving sir John and Nigel Howe digging Anton put at every opportunity.

Like them or hate them, they are vital to our club.

This appointment feels right.

Madejski is in no position to point the finger - he was the guy who cocked up the sale to Anton whilst assuring us the Russian man was the right person to take over the club.

Fantastic news - and we certainly needed some good news, after the recent run of results!

No, we did not change it rightly. Those who wanted the original change are not going to get their way this time. You all acted like children stomping your feet and moaning that you wanted the club to change how the team played and the way it did business. On the pitch the change did not work and off it we almost went out of business.

No More! You do not get what you want anymore, you were listened to and got what you deserved. It's time the club stopped trying to be something it's not and got it's identity back which is what some of us have said all along. If certain people don't like that then perhaps they should get their dinghy and go to watch Carlisle.

I have my reservations about going back and whether it will be the same but if we have even half the success we had in Brian's first spell then we will have done well.

Surely you already know the answer, Mr ITK.

I've been out of the loop since AZ left. Much prefer it that way.

Whatever has happened to this once great forum? All this talk about a new manager and not a single pun about being 'at the helm'.* Shame on you. Shame on all of you...

*Unless those jokes were done on pages 0 - 50. I can't be bothered to go back and check.

And not one "We move on" comment even.

I welcome him begrudgingly for I am not without grace

I am looking forward to hear what Sir Dodger Royal has to say about this appointment before making a fuller statement on it

Very happy with this. It feels like a return to the times when we were a tight-knit club and beautiful flowers grew around the pitch.

How short memories you have....

....this chap used to only mutter "We move on"...

...clearly we don't as we are moving backwards.

We needed a Football Manager, not an ex-Scout.

Do You See?
