When will Kermorgant score his first goal?

by TBM » 18 Feb 2016 08:39

People gave Sa stick for not scoring, so just wondered if you felt the same towards Kermorgant?

When do you reckon he will finally score a goal?

I'm in the 'does it really matter' group! It's not like we're relying on him to send us on an undefeated run to the play-offs. The season is all but over for us.

We keep hearing how BM's baby steps has tightened up the defence. Now he needs time to get us scoring goals. We should be firing on all cylinders by 2018.

IMO, he is very decent, but will make as many goals as he scores
when his teammates learn to live of his flicks

Kermogant has had just four appearances, regaining match-fitness, three-and-a-half games, 315 minutes

Sa played 90-90-84-90-17 = 371 Minutes before he scored for us
then in the next game he got a hat-trick
then he got himself sent off v Derby and probably cost us the game

Four of his five goals for us was in a side that was in a purple patch,
(W 6/7) a side that won 2 out of 2 when he was suspended

His overall 5 goals were a goal every 290 minutes

I believe he'll score in the next few league games as we're playing in games we should really be looking to win. I've gone for Feb.

Kermorgan the frog looks like he will come good, However as he seems to play deep so it might take a while.

It wouldn't surprise me if he got a couple against Charlton as players seem to like scoring against their old clubs and they are some way down the table. I might even put money on Rakels scoring there as well.

Then why spend £500k+ on a striker that isn't here to score us goals and next season will be a bench player at best before getting injured and unable to recover due to being 34/35 years old.

He'll score soon I'm sure. Ian Royal will tell you Reading are improving under McDermott so the goals will start flying in soon.

His next opportunity arises on Tuesday v Rotherham.

If the team can't at least get him onto the end of something against them (whether it goes in to not) then we shouldn't be in this division.

Snowball IMO, he is very decent, but will make as many goals as he scores

His overall 5 goals were a goal every 290 minutes

Kermogant took 408 minutes to get his first goal and is now on 2 goals in 449 minutes a goal every 225 minutes
