never heard of him - wasn't inspired having seen him loaned out to Colchester for half of last season but sounds like he has potential based on this article;

A fair amount of experience at this level for a 22 year old. Good record last season too, for a winger.

It's a possibility so who knows. Guess it would mean we've given up on the Reach transfer if it is true. He'll probably go to Ipswich though.....

One8Seven1* Again, so why not give Fosu a chance?

Because it looks like JS is currently still deciding of over the 4 younger players with no squad numbers; Fosu, Tanner, Stacey and Kuhl. It was reported that the rest of preseason would be used to make up his mind and decide whether to put them out on loan or include them in the squad.

Jaap Stam said and Charles Watts
“We’re thinking about what we can do with the squad and the amount of players that we want to have.

“We’re not sure yet about certain players and what we’re going to do with them. If we decide that they are going to be staying with us - then they will get a number. So I don’t think that’s a big problem.”

“I’ve spoken to them and explained to them that we have a big squad.

“I’ve told them towards the end of pre-season we will decide who is going to be staying and who can go on loan.”

I guess Fosu hasn't convinced JS in pre-season that he's good enough to be a first team starter ...

CONFIMRED: Callum Harriott

by McDermolenko » 05 Aug 2016 10:31

Callum Harriott has joined Championship club Reading for an undisclosed fee, the club can confirm.

The 22-year-old made 95 appearances for Charlton - scoring 12 goals - with his debut coming against Rochdale at the age of 17 in May 2011.

He spent the first part of last season on loan at Colchester United before returning to SE7 in January where he went on to play 19 times.

Harriott said: “I have been at Charlton since the age of eight and I will always be grateful to the club for their support and guidance from when I was in the academy through to becoming a first-team player. I’ll always remember making my debut against Rochdale and home debut against Hartlepool when I was 17 and I’d also like to thank the fans for their support.

“At this stage of my career, I feel like it is the right time for a change but I would like to wish Charlton the best for the future and hope that the club can bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking.”

Which is fair enough, but then we go and take a punt on Harriott. To me it makes more sense to give Fosu the game time and time with the first-team in training.

Not another bloody winger (position noticeably undisclosed in the above).

Get a decent striker with some kind of goalscoring record, a left back and that fella Moore off Leicester.
