WestYorksRoyal Wycombe lost at home to Morecambe in the FA Cup today. Perhaps we shouldn't be getting too carried away with last week.

I thought we all recognised they weren't very good at football.

We did, Reading then beat the even worse Carlisle so there's no one who should be getting carried away. Beat Barnsley and Oxford though then feel free to do so.

Not trying to underplay anything but Barnsley only managed to beat Wycombe at home thanks to the wettest goal ever.

Not suggesting it's going to be easy but if we cut out the stupid shit, we are capable of getting something from any game this season.

Not a direct rival but they have been mentioned before, QPR's Jose Gomes seems to be doing well, currently winning which would be 3 wins on the trot and 1 defeat in six. Leaves them 2 points from safety and probably everyone from Birmingham down will be looking over their shoulders.

Stranded Pompey currently being dumped out if the EFL Trophy. 5-2 down at home to Wimbledon.

That's how it ended. Portsmouth did play a weakened side, but that's another potential winner of the competition out.

The odds with BetVictor for the EFL Trophy winner:
  1. Bolton - 4/1
  2. Derby - 4/1
  3. Blackpool - 6/1
  4. Oxford - 8/1
  5. Peterborough - 8/1
  6. Reading - 10/1
  7. Wigan - 10/1
  8. Wycombe - 12/1
  9. Wimbledon - 16/1
  10. West Ham U21 - 16/1
  11. Brighton U21 - 16/1
  12. Burton - 20/1
  13. Accrington - 25/1
  14. Doncaster - 33/1
  15. Crawley - 33/1
  16. Bradford - 33/1

At the time of the 9-0, they brushed it off and said it was an U21s game in the pizza cup. But it really looks like the moment it all started going wrapped for them.

Opportunity to close to within a point of them today then. So we'll likely lose.

Exeter last won on 16th September.

How wrong can he get it? His squad basically picks itself at this point. Change to shape would be madness beyond even him. So it's basically only subs he can oxf*rd up.

Not a rival at the moment but like this from Southampton manager Russell Martin after being asked about Saints fan Rishi Sunak attending the Southampton match:

“He might have come down, but I have absolutely no interest in saying hello. How’s that for honesty.”

Opposite end of the table, but Oxford bottled a 2-0 win today. Wheels really coming off after Manning left.

Elsewhere, Burton beat Shrewsbury and Exeter got a handy point against Portsmouth. Teams fighting down there. Certainly lots of teams would have hoped ourselves and Cheltenham were done, but we're clearly not.

Royals and Racers Fleetwood sack Johnson.

Its the Bolton curse. He also got sacked at Sunderland the day after the Mackems last rocked up at the Reebok. Mind you it was 6-0.
Not been a bad few days for our lot. 3 wins on the trot, the Rags humbled at Forest, the Devil's spawn hammered at home by the Mariners and Vince's losers losing AGAIN and bottom of League 2.
Not been too bad for the Royals either. Best of luck next year.
