Stranded
stealthpapes For any 6 pointer not featuring us, the best result is normally a draw. Fewer points, spread evenly.

Very much that. Both teams dropping points whilst we hopefully pick up 3.

Totally agree.

Shrewsbury win I reckon as I think Vale would be done if they lost again to a rival at the bottom.

Somehow not much damage done today, but we could really have pulled clear which is frustrating.

We weren't the only side to drop points late on, Cheltenham, Cambridge, Burton & Exeter did also.

No one in the bottom 4 is in any kind of form luckily, think 3 wins from 9 games will do it.

We should have won the last 2 home games that were deemed winnable against teams around us, another one against Cambridge next week, and then we finish our home campaign against 3 sides in very good form, Burton and Bristol rovers away maybe, but our run-in is far from easy.

I mean, they're in good form now, no guarantee they will be when we play them, sort of how I'm sure Shrewsbury and Wycombe would have looked at us as a team in good form, especially at home.

Nobody in the bottom 4 is looking as if they are going on a miracle late run that saves them, coupled with a total collapse by us.

The current 5 point cushion we have to the relegation spots is vital though.........

They'll all be looking on at us and saying 21st may be enough this year.

Exactly. What Selles has failed to do, Dai not paying bills will do instead.

No one below us in in any kind of form, in the last 5 games each for the bottom 6 only Fleetwood and Carlisle have won a game (one each). Cheltenham could get out with games in hand I guess but with the international break now followed by Easter means they have a very congested end to the season.

Didn't realise how poor the form beneath us in the table is. Fleetwood doing well with 7 points from 5, but they are 8 points behind us without a game in hand so it's not enough; they need wins not draws.

Aside from that, they have picked up the following points in the last 5:

Burton - 1
Cambridge - 1
Cheltenham - 2
Port Vale - 3
Carlisle - 3

We've had a bit of a wobble with the Shrewsbury and Wycombe games plus 2 points deducted, and we've still gained ground on all of them. Can't see enough of them gaining form to catch us.

Our next opponents Northampton also have 2 points from 5, so perhaps they're on holiday mode. Beat them and we're basically safe barring further points deductions (which are very possible).

Anybody see FIFA trolling Steve Evans a few weeks ago? Their World Cup Twitter handle replied something along the signs of "great scenes" beneath of the clips of him doing his full time fist bumps.

Only 3 games in L1 tomorrow, but one is Burton Albion v Port Vale which is massive for both of them. Draw suits us best, but if there has to be a winner I'd prefer Burton help bury Vale.

Draw best, but I'd far rather Vale won and were still 6 behind than Burton won and move equal points.

Max teams between us and danger.
