Lol Rooney misses the first half of Derby's season but is playing 1st game available and is captain.

This is the team who couldn't wait to show Keogh the door after his team mates got him injured in a car crash.

It seems to be Wayne Rooney v Barnsley. Sky seem to be on Rooneywatch and then after the game have a programme dedicated to Wayne Rooney’s life in the Championship

Do hope Barnsley spoil the party.

Wayne Rooney is a great player. One of the best I have ever seen and a true legend.

And get done for drink driving.

Hence being made Derby captain.

Drink driving is only bad if you crash into something isn't it?

I only had the football on in the background last night whilst I was doing something else, but I had to have the Swansea game on, couldn't stand to listen to Sky just fawning over Rooney for 90 minutes.

He is Englands greatest goalscorer and one of the best players the country has seen over the last 20 years playing his first game in the Championship. How is that not a big deal? Its Wayne Rooney, he deserves to be fawned over.

I think the first game is fine, as it is quite a big deal. But if it carries on, especially if Derby continue to be mediocre, it will get very tiresome.

If Gareth Ainsworth was their manager, yes

tbh, would have loved to have seen him play live down at the Madejski this year. Always admired him as a player and would have been interested to see how he has adapted his game

No I don't think so, Leeds have a team good enough to finish top 10 in the Premier League so a little bit beyond where Rooney is at this stage of his career.

Think Ainsworth in at Leeds would be a dream scenario for all football supporters.

How would you compare Leeds to that Fulham side that went up a couple of years back? They were one of the best teams I've seen in the champ - but then obviously dropped a huge bollock when they went up

All the Leeds bashing aside, I'm intrigued to see Biesla in the Prem. Despite what you say, player for player, I'm not sure they are all that - but he has done an amazing job there tbf
