Sutekh
skipper
Franchise FC Er, that’s not likely

Can we have both teams to lose, please ?

Agreed.

Oxford, for my money, are a one man team tbh. Lose Brannagan and they fall apart.

That said he has proved over and again he is ultra loyal.

Joey Beauchamp was ultra loyal to Oxford, even when he did move he couldn't settle and came back again. Even moving to Swindon was too far.

Some of the locals up there said he got a nosebleed if he strayed outside an OX postcode

Not currently rivals, but what a bunch of twats.

"Cardiff City is taking legal action against FC Nantes, seeking €120.2 million following a study suggesting they had a 54.2% chance of avoiding relegation with Emiliano Sala. They plan to submit an invoice of €120.2m to the French club."

Hope Nantes find something in order to counter-sue them.

They could just put a claim in with their insurance company but I'd have thought using an unlicenced and unairworthy plane, flown by an unlicenced pilot and arranged by an unlicenced agent to fly him from France to Wales would probably invalidate their insurance.

I think the previous cases have fallen apart because it was proven Cardiff had completed the deal by the time it happened; Cardiff hadn't added him to their insurance. He was no longer registered to Nantes.

Whether he was insured by them is irrelevant really, the pilot and plane weren't licenced or insured to make the flight, a flight arranged by Cardiff, or someone working on behalf of Cardiff.

My point was that they cut corners to get him to Wales sooner. They have zero grounds for any claim.

My guess is that they’re hoping that Nantes will settle (for a much smaller amount) rather than go to court

Hoping is doing a serious amount of heavy lifting in this case

I'm assuming this is a desperation ploy to get some money to avoid blowing up from FFP issues.

If Cardiff hadn’t chartered a dodgy aircraft with a discredited pilot it could have all been so different

Shame on them.

Can something be shameful and shameless at the same time?

Hmmm, good spot, SFox! If something can be priceless one minute and worthless the next, anything is possible.

Yes.

The act can be shameful whilst the individual committing the act can be shameless.

Wasn't it the agent who chartered the plane rather than Cardiff?

Don’t know I wasn’t there.

Probably but Cardiff could have got him over a better way.

If it was, and unless he was also the agent contracted to Nantes, and further unless Nantes requested him to arrange said flight …… Cardiff have 3 hopes

One’s a boxer
One was an actor/comedian
The other is absolutely no hope

Barnsley sack boss Collins with one game remaining

Barnsley Football Club can confirm the departure of Head Coach Neill Collins.

Collins was appointed last summer and despite several positive spells throughout the season, recent results have left the board of directors feeling that a change is needed.

I know they're on a shocking run of form, but that seems like madness with 1 game to go.

I guess they figure they have no hope if they stumble into the play-offs under Collins so they're trying to roll the dice.
