I did the short trip across the pennines a few years ago to see them earn a 1-1 draw at Man City; Fara Williams scored for us. The fall has been brutal.

The sad reality is to have a professional women's team, you need a good men's team to bring in the money. The game doesn't bring in enough money by itself. So this was probably inevitable.

Haven't read through the whole of this thread so don't know if that has been discussed before but surely it has? Why is there not a separate forum to discuss the women's team? Surely they're deserving of that ?

On another note, I can't find anything about yesterday's food poisoning story. Am I missing that too?

Not anymore it isn't. Both Wolves and Reading players apparently got food poisoning from the post-match food offering at last week's cup game. A dodgy takeaway?!

+1, the girls should have their own forum. Make it easier to find their specific stories and news etc. Don't get why there's a largely completely pointless forum for BBC Berks that gets updates maybe twice a year and nowt for t'ladies.

Not the 1st team by any means- but the subs they named were quality.

That is a decent showing - higher than the men's attendance against Arsenal U21s in the EFL Trophy earlier in the season. I imagine playing Arsenal would've drawn a few people to it.

This is so grim. The women's team could be set to drop yet another level. The barsteward Dai really has destroyed everything that was good about our club.
