TiagoIlori Neither him or the fans are in the right, people need to understand that it actually affects the players booing them constantly, going to aggravate them. Chanting against your team in the second half is only going to wind them up, and McShane is well known for his outbursts. Not a good mix at any level

Fans are entitled they pay their money. If it brings about change its welcome ..

Try working in services and trying to deal with the abuse you get from customers, it’s not nice.

And if I was Sh1t at my job I'd be sacked ..

If ever you need an example of a football club imploding with every thing associated with it , be it players or fans it's this debacle.

What do they expect ? Blaming the fans for their poor performances is sinking quite low

But they then lose all right to call themselves supporters.

Stam's been moaning about the atmosphere at games for ages now and today there was an atmosphere but it's apparently the wrong type?

FFS, we can't win.

RoyalBlue Don't understand all the negativity.

We clearly needed a replay to fund our January transfer activity.

Yep look out Messi et all

@ReadingFC
Our Ticket Office will be selling tickets from approx 5.30pm today for the replay - advance prices will be £10 Adults, £5 65 & Over and 18-24, and £1 17 & Under.

Apparently tickets for the match will be available in Poundland from Monday.

Hound FT 0-0

Sounds pretty dire. At least our we can rely on our home form to see us through.

I'm predicting a record low attendance for the replay.

What is our record low at mad stad? Bet it was something like Northampton in the cup years ago when we beat them on pens.

Record low at the Mad Stad for a 1st team Reading game is the 1561 that turned up for the associate members cup game with Leyton Orient in December 1999

Would expect this replay to attract around 5k, perhaps lower if there was a determined boycott by Reading fans.

I get the feeling the away fans might outnumber the Reading fans

bcubed Don't think fans were supportive

And the song about passing it back (describing football the Jaap Stam way) was hardly endearing the fans to players or Stam.

Not surprised at McShanes reaction really

If you're not surprised by McShane's reactions, then it shows just how bad things have got. Completely unacceptable behaviour from the captain, regardless of what 'provocation' there might have been.

Do people really think that all those travelling supporters spent their time and money going to the game just to criticise the players?

Ron Gourlay should refund all travelling fans after backing Stam

That is ludicrous

Mate, I’m not having anyone claim abusing players is acceptable, doing it but admitting it was wrong is one thing, doing it and thinking it’s right is even worse
