In and out of the team towards end of season, scored a few goals, Shanghai won the league so championship medal under their belt. Assume he is staying for another season.

Kevin Muscat has just taken over as manager at Shanghai Port, Ian Walker (ex Leicester) is the goalkeeper coach there.

Last time I looked he scored a couple in a handful of performances.

Wiki says 3 goals in 9. So still scoring at a decent rate.

Obvs very limited options but wonder if Rinomhota could do a job for us on loan - he seems totally out of the picture at Cardiff

Also spotted Meite has 1 goal and 0 assists in 23 games. Must be doing something else right

I feel as if Rino peaked when he won POTS in 2019 but has steadily gone backwards since in the main. Had his good moments, good games etc but didn't really seem to hit the heights he did in that season.

I thought we were dead and buried when he was injured for the remaining of the 21/22 season with Ince, but I didn't think we missed him. Maybe a drop down a level would be a decent move for him to work his way back up, but I wouldn't be jumping through hoops if he returned.

Was a big fan of his, then I wasn’t

Still only 26, good chance to revive his career

Worked very well with Baker, and Laurent initially when they both played fairly conservatively.

A good defensive minded midfileder capable of shielding the ball well and driving forward into space, playing simple passes.

Ask him to just sit as a DM, be a playmaker or get forward regularly and you won't get the best out of him.

Once Paunovic started playing him RW like an absolute clown, we were never getting anything from him. And once Laurent started playing forward more, he had to sit more which wasn't his game and performances dipped. Plus by the time he came back from injury the whole team was abject, and a workhorse midfielder is never making the difference at that point.

Reckon he'd work well with Wing, maybe Savage. Not so much with Hutch or Craig.

Dai Wai Tsun, who was in Reading's youth team up until 2016 is currently playing for China against Lebanon in the Asian Cup. Plays for Shanghai Shenhua

Wonder how we'd be as a club if he was still playing for Reading.

Such a shame how it all ended up for Tish.

Virginia clean sheeting it for Everton tonight (believed to be only his second first team start for them).

Leroy Lita was at Nuneaton Borough and recently went on his travels again, moving to Coalville, turns out the reason for moving was that Nuneaton are closing down and quit their league. They sold their ground, then had to pay rent over the covid period, and have been struggling.

Interesting nugget from Lita at Blue Collar last night. Applied for an U23 coaching role and all he got back was an automated response.

Says it all about what this club has become. Ex players don't have a right to walk into these roles, but you'd certainly expect the club to treat any application with respect.
