Hound Obvs not wanting to get carried away but if we can pick up say 9 points in Jan, then we’ve a relatively friendly run in

It’s not out of the question to at least challenge for that 6th place

The game in hand is crucial, win that and we're 5 points off 3-6, which keeps us in the mix until very late on. The key now is for other teams to start dropping out the chase, like QPR are looking like they're about to do.

It would be 4 points off 6th

Think he was assuming Wednesday would win. That would put us 5 points off Forest in 6th.

It also looked as if the offside for the " 3rd goal" was iffy !!

One or two Preston fans saying the goal should have stood.

tidus_mi2 Pele: Call me Pele
RFC: Okay we'll call you Pele
BBCRB: Judilson Gomes because he's not as good as the famous Pele

Still winds me up a little that they refuse to call him Pele.

Apparently BBC Berks are not allowed to call him Pele during a commentary as that is not the name he's registered under with the FL.

Is that a real thing? Nicknames cannot be spoken out loud unless on a register?

Sounds like one of those True Facts you get from blokes down the pub, like how we don't have to wear our away kit if we don't want to because we're from the Royal County of Berkshire.

Zip What. A. Result. Four successive clean sheets. When did we last manage that?

Amazing to watch on the Sky app, except for northern pronunciations probably intentionally wrong: Iaria, Youau..they just about managed Swift.

So much better defensively than even against Derby. Though Gunter is scary to watch.

A lot less rolling around on the ground holding heads from PNE. Odd, that.

The crucial bit - every team we face up until Feb 26th are currently above us in the table. Plenty of opportunity to climb even higher in the table.

If we fail to continue this amazing current run of form, we will know sooner rather than later whether a late playoff charge will be at all possible.

I don`t see it, 5 games without conceding in our last promotion in 2012.

Over 360 minutes without conceding. 450 would be nice :D

Interesting* fact. We currently have the 9th best GD. Which suggests we could still climb higher. If you buy in to the better the GD the better the team view.

14th feels pretty good at the moment though.

We are slowly but surely catching up with the promotion play off chasing sides. I’d take a point against Fulham. We would then go into the New Year having already played two of the stronger sides twice.
We then have two hard months to follow but what then looks like a very good run in. If we are in touch going into March the play offs are a real possibility.

Think the quick double header v Forest could be key. That have 8 points on us and we could eat in to that over those 2 matches if we can get wins.

yep. and despite their position in the table, they feel very beatable. Would expect at least 3 points from the 2 games, and quite possibly more
