How many players do we have surplus to requirements? Poor transfer dealings in recent years.

Aluko
Barrow
Mannone
Mcnulty

I’d like to see Barrow stay. The rest can go.

Barrow can move on. Wages will be the issue.

I’m not convinced Barrow will be on that much. Swansea would have been one of the lower payers in the top flight.
I think he justified the fee we paid for him. We are also very short of out and out wingers. Popa and GMac will be gone in the summer. So we are going to be very light in this area.

Season long loan with another year on his contract at the end of the loan.

1) at anyone wanting Barrow to leave. One player we've been massively missing this season, turned games around last season with his pace. And we're crying out for winger options. Unless he's on big wages of course.

2) Aluko run inside and shot that lead to the disallowed goal was pretty good. I only saw highlights though so can't comment further about his performance.

3) lol at linesman. Meite's second goal almost as clearly onside as first goal was offside.

2. That was it tbh. Nothing much else to report. Lots of promise but even more running into blind alleys, desperate to get the ball onto his left foot.

3. That’s how I saw it live and had a good view pretty much in line. Haven’t seen replays yet.

Entertaining game I thought. MOTM for me was Adam, closely followed by Howe. If it wasn't for Adam it could well have been very men against boys.

Annoying to miss the one on one and the disallowed goal. Didn't look off to me and my boy but my cousin (Villa fan) was with us today and said it was although I haven't seen the highlights.

Frustrating that Cardiff players spent an inordinate amount of time on the floor. Got the feeling that they were trying to break up our play as they were struggling 1st half.

Had some chips from the loaded fries stall outside. They are top notch chips.

This. the one thing worth rating... but why anyone would put cheese and marmite on them is beyond me.

I love cheesy chips.

Never heard of marmite on chips but sounds a good idea.

Oh my - they do cheese and marmite as a topping? I am all over that like a rash. Cheers.

Might be tempted by this tomorrow night. I have had the loaded chips with cheese and they were decent but the marmite is up my street.

You know what they say about marmite though: you either love it, or think it's quite good, or aren't fussed, or think it's a bit foul or hate it.

I'm surprised there hasn't been all that much focus
on how well (results-wise) a THIRD-string defence
with only ten men did.

As things stand Miazga-McIntyre are back-up to Moore-Morrison.

Sure, they are more or less good enough for the first team, but, as
things stand that pairing is back-up to Moore-Morrison

To lose BOTH of those and be down to ten men, had we shipped 2, even 3 goals in the last minutes
it would hardly have been a surprise, especially with Cardiff going for the killer blow

(With CB-5 and CB-6 playing, GK2, FB 4/5, and only ten men) that was a helluva performance.

I thought Adam who played well almost for the whole 90, really showed his class
and leadership, taking the armband but offering it to others, then really pulling
the guys together, and getting second-teamers and boys to fight out the draw against
a strong team of men. Stellar!

Those criticising Aluko are showing their prejudices. He showed very well for
an hour then was moved position. Made a "goal" with a nice move and shot
reminiscent of v QPR in the 1-0 last season.

Thought both FBs did well, and Howe looked very decent.

Walker did well.

Most pleasing for me is that since Bowen has come in, going one down
is no longer the kiss of death.

How many times now have we come from behind to draw or win?

It was only about 12 minutes with 10, they did a very good job to keep it level, but if we'd suddenly conceded 2 or 3 goals I think that would have been very disappointing. And I think it's a bit disrespectful to those players to suggest that as a likely outcome.

I think the general point is well made though. This was our reserve team with youngsters on the bench up against a decent and experienced Championship side and holding their own.
