Interestingly the last time a manager survived a whole season in charge of Reading the largely unfancied Royals were losing play off finalists. Strike a chord for this season....?
Not sure I quite want that part repeated (particularly as it was followed by a truly dreadful season) but then again not making the play offs now would be too much to take.
