ah I lie - he is 22. For some reason I thought he was 19. But it is his first season at men's level.

I think I’ve said this before but I think TDB is basically “Akpan but good”. Pretty dynamic, takes a lot of risks, is expected to do a lot of defensive work but it isn’t his natural game.

Yes so playing him in a defensive role isn’t playing to his strengths.

Back on point. For anyone still on the fence - if we lose against a sixth tier side and the lowest ranked team in the competition tomorrow will you still back Pauno to turn this sinking ship around :?:

If he plays a strong side of mostly first teamers then probably yes !!
If he plays with mostly U23's then he's stupid, as his job is on a knife-edge and he's disrespected the Cup and club so deserves everything he gets.
The fact that this match is potentially such a huge banana skin should be motivation enough for a strong side to win comfortably.

Plus he used the excuse that the players were not match fit and that why well fell away in the second half of the derby game. So I’m expecting them to play again to regain this so called match fitness.

What you have to remember is that we are going into this game as the underdogs.

What manager is going to say of their boss:

"We have quite a negative relationship, he's put me on a performance improvement plan and I don't fancy my chances of being here much longer"

Or

"Mr Dai is an idiot with no idea how to run a football club. Things are going badly and I don't have proper control or the resources to do what is needed"

Of course Pauno will talk up the man and their relationship. Regardless of the truth.

It's like the old "manager has the owner's complete confidence." Sacked 2 weeks later.

I wonder when that twat Millsy will come back on and say we have to keep Pauno because no one except him wanted to get rid last season.

This is just a knee jerk reaction because we got outplayed and lost to a team 79 places below us in the football pyramid.

I've been in the camp of being patient, but today is the day I turn on him. Same issues again and again, even against non-league opposition. Manager change does nothing to fix the systemic issues at the club, but could give the players the shot in the arm they need. Surely he has to go now.

This is the position I'm now in.
