Apart from the pitch invasion gaffe he allegedly apologised for, the more I hear from Benjy the more I appreciate the lad.

Gives credit to Potter then clarifies that he has heard it from a close source himself, so not simply rehashing his story, which is what most of us paranoid lot including me would have assumed.

Good man.

It'll be Warnock, he'll take us down, and then he'll retire having finally got the last laugh.

Not sure. I think the smugness he would achieve by keeping us up and rescuing us from the abyss will add another 10 years on to his life.

Colin is a legend for me!

Great football manager, very under appreciated due to his antics in the past. He's the only man for the job imo.

Wizard If Warnock comes in that’s me done with this club.

Let’s hope you are gone then and I mean that in a nice way

Absolutely, Warnock would be great.

Noone here really hates him, he's just a comedy character. Great loss to English footy when he stops.

BUT we're deluding ourselves if we really think we'd get him to join us. Hope I'm wrong!

I think he'd jump at the chance. It's whether we can afford him, or the owners would even consider him.

Agreed. Not one for drawing people out but have not been impressed with much since the days of Charles Watts.

Really liked Benjy’s initial articles which perfectly broke our situation down as well as the Twitter Spaces of late. Doing a great job IMHO.

100% yes to Warnock. Until the end of the season and then see where we are.

He'll bring instant passion and leg stamping  But seriously, he would give us something we are crying out for.

However, what I expect is Kia to fcuk us over with another johnny foreigner who needs time to adjust to this league, and down we go.

Honestly had felt the bloke’s job was close to untouchable the way it was going. Hopefully we can get a Jose Gomes style revival. With the players we’ve got we should not even be close to the relegation zone.

Well we will see how good these players really are under new management. I’m far from convinced they are very good at all and will be happy to see the back of the vast majority of them in the summer.
They actually worked hard yesterday and showed some fight for the first time in months....frankly that should be the minimum. They have been just as big a part of this mess as Pauno.

Would be ironic if he’s sacked after a 3-2 defeat to Coventry given that end of his honeymoon period (i.e. the huge start of the decline) was the same scoreline to the same team

Should have been sacked after the Sheffield game this season. Symptomatic of our entire season that evening was and it’s somehow only got worse since

Let’s hope so but he is going to be working with an injury prone, half arsed bunch of players. Good luck to him. He will need it.

About time Pauno left us! About 2 months too late. Let's hope Colin fancies being a villain to hero. He was a dick whenever he came here but I always respected him and he's a nice guy when you get to know him properly

What was gaffe? Unlike him to have to apologise.

For the love of God please get Serhiy Rebrov in. Literally no reason not to and has a CV that’s more than justified a job in England by now.

To be fair, as much as I have said I fear Colin having the last laugh by taking us down, there is a large part of me that says that he would love the pantomime hero gig,

I don't know where this quote came from (or indeed true) but am sure I read somewhere that instead of crying at his funeral, he wants people to sing "Warnock is a w**k*r..."

It would appeal to his sense of humour for sure.

Give it to John o Shea. Knows the majority of the squad. Might tighten up the defence.

No. We need an experienced manger. It’s too much of a risk giving it to someone who is looking to cut their teeth.

No points deduction for sacking the half-wit either! Confirmed by Nicko at The Sun.
