There is a photo of him after the game smiling with a group of young lads. If it was a bad injury I doubt he would be willing to have photos with anyone. It looked totally innocuous.

Great atmosphere and a good result against a very poor PNE team who based on that performance should finish below us in the league wherever we end . Swift really good as for Joao …..when is he not injured !

First match for ages!

Swift MOTM, must keep him

Worried about Joao

But more importantly I now fit a small sized (away) shirt

Thought Azeez was great as a foil for Joao but despite his goal his shooting was woeful.

Bristow was a warm body in a position we need cover. Maybe he’ll be good, maybe that’s all he is but today he was one of the weaker links.

Yiadom was very good.

Swift was imperious but part of the usual pattern.

Brilliant  teams sit on him  dominated by a defence  injured for months

Rafael saved the game but his distribution has somehow got worse?

Preston are in trouble. CBs were carved open repeatedly and were saved embarrassment by our guys taking too many touches.

P.S

Club clearly not immune to the national entry level staff shortage, never seen the bar that poorly staffed.

They oxf*rd up the golden gamble draw right? As in they just totally forgot that it was a thing until it was too late.

No mascots, no cartoons on the screen, it’s fine by me as an adult but has the family approach been abandoned?

Royal Ginger Yiadom was very good.

Something I noted when watching the games last season on IFollow. Concedes a lot of free kicks for unneccessary niggly fouls. Which just puts pressure on the defence. Did the same today.

Despite the team looking completely panicked at the back and like the don't know how to hold a scoreline, that was quite a fun win.

Looking pretty good going forward, with Joao, Swift and Azeez linking up really well and Rino and Laurent marshalling midfield well. Bristow did some really nice stuff going forward, but does seem not yet ready, and out of position. Just need Joao to hit that scoring rhythm and Azeez to work on his finishing and decision making.

The defence on the other hand. :|

Cabral - 7 awful kicking, but crucial saves. And saves matter
Yiadom - 6 usual mix of stupid fouling and decent play
McIntyre - 6 wasted at left back but OK
Morrison - 6 ok but what was he doing with his arm up like that for the pen
Moore - 5 captain can't organise a defence strikes again
Rino - 7 started very well but faded out a little
Laurent - 7 what a signing he has been. Thanks Bowen.
Swift - 9 really delivering right now
Bristow - 5 some nice moments, but do feel like he's making up the numbers a bit. Loan to L1 or L2 might do him a lot of good, if we could afford that
Azeez - 8 love this kid, pace, confidence, touch needs to be a smidge more reliable and wprk on finishing, but looks a find
Joao - 8 played some good stuff, assist for Swift, nearly scored. Injury a blow.

Moore,McIntyre and Azeez bit too high.TBF however I seem to be on my own on Mc.I would drop Azeez a bit for those 2nd half cock ups;which could have cost us.However I would emphasise I think he is a very good option;given his speed and mobility;seemingly a vast upgrade on George.

What I liked about Azeez were the runs he was making. Bright boy.
Puscas is an odd one. What happened to that player that terrorised Cardiff two years ago?
I thought Joao had a very good game.
