Luton at home

by Delboy » 11 Dec 2021 11:32

Any idea how many tickets sold , north stand looks fairly full on website but plenty of room R25/26. Will they have more catering / beer kiosks at back of east stand before the game ?

Only reference is my Dad tried to buy two tickets for extras that sometimes come with us and the seats around us were already taken in Y20, does seem like it's gonna be a big crowd.

Yep ED Stand almost sold out. I suspect we will have about 19,000. Just a shame we will only be able to put out half of our usual first team.

Been heavily promoted amongst schools and junior football clubs (under 12S are a quid). Sales restricted to ED and some of the lower west

And for those that like a flutter, Reading are 11/5 and Luton 5/4. So Luton are serious favourites to win this.

Good odds those. If our side is something like yesterday it’s difficult to see how we win the game though.

There will be lots of kids there especially in the ED so Jnr has already been warned that he is going to have to curb his language.
It will be great to see the stadium almost full. It’s been a while.

Probably the most full the stadium has been since the play-off semi-final

So are you never going to do things that you enjoy again because of Omicron or any other variant? There will be another variant after Omicron, it will never end. Do you shut yourself away forever or live life as normally as possible but in a safe manner?

Don't go there OMA, you don't handle it well.

It's a valid question Ian, I was interested to know the answer and your outlook on it but you want to resort to silliness, which is fine because I am good at that.

The only one I can think of to maybe match it was Burton at home pre Christmas circa 3 years ago.

Worth noting that Covid passports/proof of jabs will be required to enter the ground on Saturday or proof of a negative covid test from the NHS, not you taking the results of a home test along.

Details presumably on the Reading FC website, or if like me you get the emails from Reading FC check your inbox for details

I believe the government also said facemasks are required in the non-open air parts of the stadium

Interesting this week the entire local press ( Low, Chronic and Berks radio) have been leading on relegation and not even mentioned the 150 aniv game for the 4th oldest side in the country and oldest South of the River Trent.

The written press must have decades of pics they could put out.

Wycombe Royal Game in doubt due to 4 players testing positive for Covid......Reading players that is.....

It's a shame that will be the headline as people not familiar with our ridiculous injury situation will think it's ridiciulous our game gets called off for 4 positive cases of covid but the reality is we could already barely put a team together before the positive covid tests.
