This is a missed opportunity. Fulham are in poor form. They are bound to strengthen in January. I suspect they will be in a much better place when we do play them.

Must have been one hell of a Christmas party the players had.

We last played on December 11th so something isn't right. If we called the game off v Luton for Covid on the 15th then the squad should be out of isolation by now. This game should be on

Poor form? They’ve lost once since October and currently top of the league :lol: Fulham will be saying it’s a missed opportunity with the state of our form

Clueless. Er they are not top of the League and have picked up four points from their last five games. So yeah poor form.

:lol: A point off top and they’ve lost once since October - hardly a missed opportunity for us, you can’t call them poor. Give your head a wobble and look at the state of our shit show.

I can hear the excuses already when we lose to Derby on Monday, lack of match practice, in other news Andy Carroll only has a ew week left unless we can tie him down for the rest of the season.

EFL rules state you need a minimum of 14 players, incl. 1 keeper, who have started a league game for a game to go ahead.

We have had 32 players play in the 1st team this season but looking at the breakdown:

8 have never started a league game. So down to 24.

At last count we had 10 out injured, but let's say there are 8 out. 16 available now.

So if 3 players from that 16 are unavailable because they have it or aren't fully vaxxed and having to isolate due to infection either inside or outside the group, game off.

To be honest, looking at the numbers, it's a minor miracle we hadn't had any called off earlier.

Going to be a busy '22. As if we beat Kidderminster, that will be 4 games to rearrange already without any other postponements.

Factor in that if all your keepers are isolating or ill you can't play even if everyone else is fit. Plus there is no fixed time period for players who have it to return. If they have been ill rather than just positive or isolating they could be out for quite some time. Injured players who have to isolate or get sick will probably have their recovery slowed as they won't have access to rehab facilities - a player who was close to resuming training probably is further away now.

We should get deducted points and then we will stop taking the piss. If teams miss 3 games because of it then a 6 point fine is appropriate for players and teams to get vaxxed

But you can be vaxxed and still get it.

Unfortunately, it is what it is and as others have pointed out, with our injury list, if only takes a couple of cases to push us under the minimum number of players.

You really aren’t very good at this are you? I haven’t said Fulham are poor. I have said they are in poor form. They are obviously one of the best sides in the division and it’s very likely that when we do play them they will be in much better form than this Best to play them when they are struggling and actually in worse form than us right now.

I wonder if this will help us keep Carroll? If he'd played every scheduled game and knocked in a few he could have a lot of clubs willing /able to pay more than we are.

Our dear friend at Talkox***d Adrian Durham seems to want us to get points deducted for postponing another game….
Why would he, as a Peterboro fan, want that to happen?!? :shock: :roll:

A bit of of that certainly - if returning injured players haven’t been able to ‘get on the grass’ as they seem to call it or play actual football in training they won’t be match fit. So the likes of McIntyre may be not be injured any more but also in no state to play a game

The team Prob need a week of actual training before being able to play a match again , which is hopefully where we are now

Yeah, it's not hard is it...

LWWWWWWWDDDDL

LWWWWWWW = Unbelievable form

DDDDL = shit

It's less good than our DLWDL.

If you make it 6 games it's still less good than us.

Pay clearly isn’t an issue for him. He's reportedly on £1k a week.

There are very few other London and South East teams he could go to with the same expectation of playing.

We don’t really know how we got him to sign or whether the league put stipulations on it - ie if Joao is fit can we still re-sign him?

As it is, think there’s a fair chance he’ll extend to the end of the season. Can’t see any club coming in and paying big wages or pushing the boat out for him based on his 5-6 games for us so far
