Some names popping up here that we just can`t afford, HELLO, where have you been for the last 6 months? how much longer is Gareth Ainsworth contracted at Wycombe?

I think Brogue should become Reading manager. Although if he can't become Reading manage he should become a HNA? mod.

Royal_jimmy Colin. I think he would come despite the history if we offered him enough of a bonus.

He would come here like a shot, and take great pleasure in taking us down gien the abuse he has recieved here over the years.

Like at any club he’s been too then

Any manager that doesn’t go defensive against a load of part timers with professional players will do.

I don’t give af I’d rather we played without a manager, it genuinely couldn’t be any worse.

Don't have any coaching badges, sorry.

And no way I'm working with the spunk trumpet who owns us.

JR
Brogue Give it to gilkes till the end of the season. See how he does if it hasn’t worked out. Open it up to applications rather than going for a target. Ultimately I’d like a manager that I don’t have to google to find out who he is.

Gilkes is clearly not management material. Can see that from just observing him operate in his current role. We have rose tinted glasses for him

JR Colin is my favourite manager in the game - brilliant passion and talks honestly and with great sense in his interviews and radio roles.

Clearly would be just a short term fix for 18 months, but worth considering.

I imagine a lot of us would want to get someone in with affinity with the club - so maybe it’s the right point in time to get Parky in.

He’s had an up and down career, but enough success to say worth a try given we won’t have much buying power.

Yes time for Parky, no more shiny shoes, greasy hair nothing in between foreign managers, please.

Michael Duff. Doing a solid job at Cheltenham, young and ambitious. Could be a good fit. I would like to see someone who hasn't got a massive amount of 'loser' baggage come in. Murts could be good, or Bryn. But as someone said, its not the same team as they left years ago.

If Murty or Bryn had never played for us, with their management and coaching record, people would be outraged at their suggestion. Sadly, pretty much the same with Parky now.

So it's a no for all three from me.

Who was that Fella who did well with Newport County and suddenly quit!! He always seemed highly motivated and lively on the sidelines and his recorded of giant killing in the cup was immense.
Like a lot of people, Ainsworth would be a good shout, he's done wonders with Wycombe on a tight budget, and Alex Neil would also be a good shout with plenty of championship experience and did a solid job at Preston, and as already mentioned would fire a rocket up the arse of some of our prima donna's.

Alex Neil
Gareth Ainsworth
Ex Newport Manager
Graeme Murty/Brynjar

In that order, all possibly within budget, but would be seriously mad to take on this job!!!!

What, and have some accountability and need to deliver? No chance.

Great thread, we clearly will have our pick and can get whomever we want so let's give it some good thought and choose carefully!

Make a great DOF as well. A role that's sadly unfilled. His knowledge of English football would be ideal in terms of at least building a squad that turns up every week and at least competes.
