Snowflake Royal
Zip
Snowflake Royal Not sure we were much worse defensively than we have been generally.

But we were much better in attack.

Start with the Diamond. Get shot of Drinkwater and screen the defence, not spectate / sit in its pocket.

Simple.

First 25 mins on Saturday was horrendous in a defensive sense. Huddersfield looked like they would score every time they attacked. It was painful albeit we played some good stuff going forward. We were wide open. It was like Fulham second half ie just as bad.

Sounds like about half the games I've seen

You don't watch games

You aren't a fan

You admitted it yesterday. You watch on your armchair. You talk on here like you are a oxf*rd expert scout

Really interested to see what happens with the goalkeeping situation today. I reckon Southwood has one more chance before he's replaced, another mistake and its curtains for this season.
If he's replaced by Hein for this game then it kills him. Being dropped for an inexperienced 19 year old is about as big of a slap in the face as it gets.

People that think Southwood is the problem really need their head examining.

He’s a young, fairly inexperienced keeper, who’s been thrust into this side and by and large been excellent, outperforming a full international who spent 5 seasons at one of the top clubs in Europe. He’s made a few costly errors recently, but which of our (more seasoned) players haven’t? I think castigating him is awful - especially considering how crap the defence is he’s facing more chances than otherwise may be expected. In fact, I would love* to see some stats of errors to shots faced, because I’d be surprised if they were anything out of the norm.

We need to be supporting our young players. To drop him for an experienced, ‘solid’ keeper would be bad enough, but for an untried teenager? I don’t care if he’s the second coming. Come on.

Amen

Southwood will (presumably) be here next season. And every game he plays now benefits us in that regard. Hein likely won't, and even if he is we get nothing out of his development beyond his immediate performances.

Interesting battle though, Estonia’s no 1 v Northern Ireland’s no 3.

Won't help the Pauno Out thread numbers. You'd ideally want a heartbreaking last minute loss due to tactical ineptitude to boost those page numbers up.

I think a 7 goal battering is the way

Today’s challenge has been accepted by:

Looking at the bench we do seem to have cloned Joao as well so good to know injury has been covered

How does Drinkwater survive in the 1st XI?

No changes basically
