I'd prefer a petition to fire you to the moon in a really unreliable rocket tbh.

Certain amount of schadenfreude here if Ince gets sacked despite saying to Dellor that he wasn't worried at all about it.

Could have been the straw that broke the camels back. Any owner or director of football hearing a manager brazenly ruling out being sacked after the run we have been on must have rung alarm bells.

From Despair To Where? Pointless sacking Ince now. If it was going to happen, it should have happened 6 weeks ago.

The last few games the team have shown they're capable of winning if you give them a fighting chance. There is absolutely a point in sacking him. He can't be here next season and a new voice with a brain could still get a tune out of the players in a game or two.

Even Clement picked up some points just by turning up after Stam got the boot.

Spot on. This squad might be a bit of a Mish-mash but there is plenty of talent and has always been capable of winning.

It’d be far more pointless (literally the operative word!) to keep Ince in charge for the final 5 games.

I think this will happen tomorrow as relegation looks certain otherwise. We only need a 2 or 3 game honeymoon period to stay up most likely

Can't see there's any way that this can happen. I don't think we have enough money or anyone in a position to do it.

Realistically, If we were going to change manager, the time was a few weeks ago. I don't think it would help if it happened now, given how little time there is left to get us out of this.

I've thought for a number of years now that if we fell into the bottom three, we wouldn't be strong enough to battle out of it. I've never hoped to be wrong so much in my life.

Financial constraints will surely mean he can only go on gardening leave with Bowen and Hunt taking over. I’d imagine all fans would take that.

For those out of work and realistic appointments - Nathan Jones anyone?

Bowen for the time being
Critchley if remaining in the Championship
Cowley brothers if relegated to League One

I think he has to be sacked immediately if we are to have any chance of staying up. Has to be an internal replacement with only 5 to go so Bowen and Hunt for me.

I would agree until I saw Bowen's win percentage while in his last job as manager of AFC Wimbledon

If getting a new manager is a guaranteed way of getting better results - why don't we just fire the managers every 5-6 games? Makes sense right - as we're all so sure that it works.

On the subject, what will it likely mean for Tom Ince? I'm going to assume he'll either see out the rest of his contract as 'injured' if we fail to get him a move elsewhere or he'll offer very little when playing (similar to how Stoke viewed him towards the end of his time there)

Get him gone however it needs to happen. He's a bad apple and not what is required post P.Ince.

I imagine he'll be a professional about it.

We seem to have a really odd record of changing managers just before/after playing Preston so no doubt there’s an element of truth in this

I don't quite understand the love for Bowen being manager as he wasn't exactly amazing here but he is probably our only option financially and worth it for a change and a honeymoon boost. Or Hunt. Or my mum. Or Carroll as player manager. Or a random player's dad... oh hang on we've tried that already.

Behave Ian, have you seen his histrionics on the pitch, Ince senior should have smacked his arse far more often when he was growing up.
