We are very likely to go into the huge game v Barnsley in a right mess.

We are 8 points clear of the relegation zone. Derby's heads have gone, Barnsley are inherently shite. Once Ince has time to work with the players on the training pitch we will be fine.

6 isn`t it?

Yeah that pretty much

We’re not great but should have the firepower to get out

Well not really. We are six points off the relegation zone and Barnsley have a game in hand and very winnable games coming up

Which they won't win, stop panicking. Paul Ince knows exactly how to fix this.

Disappointing collapse

Southwood again, maybe a little weak on the second, but don't think he stops it. Criminal defending from Morrison just letting Madine dominate him.

Third one, Morro goes awol into midfield and doesn’t win it. McIntyre holds his position qnd leaves Lavery in acres of space for a ball straight down the middle and Southwood no chance.

Fourth, Yiadom marks space and leaves Bowler in acres to smash in a terrific strike after Rino is weak allowing the break away.

Very poor defending today. Morrison's worst game in quite a while.

At the other end, all a little uncoordinated and just couldn't fashion enough good chances. Ince looks tidy, but he's lightweight and has no end product.

Meite should have come on much earlier. Not surprising that once Bashiru went off with no like for like replacement we leaked through midfield like a sieve. Drinkwater back to making oodles of poor simple passes putting people in trouble.

We just have too many slow players. You can’t have two slow centrebacks and your primary defensive midfielder slow as well. The only pace at the back is the fullbacks and they're upfield half the time.

Ejaria did alright, didn’t seem to have a position and I was frustrated by his lack of pace. Beat a player but can't get away from anyone... did win a freekick when caught up with again at least.

I am fully expecting ups and downs for the rest of the season. We desperately need to sign another defender this week and Ince and his team need to pick the players up. Blackpool are decent at home and we’re not going to improve overnight. The Championship is always full of surprises so on to Millwall.

Morrison was very poor v Brum. He was turned so easily on the deck too many times. We have no options in defence and that’s a huge problem.

Ftr my thread on that was tongue in cheek maybe that didn’t come across  . I’m not going to write off a manager before a ball had been kicked. I’ve never wanted a manager out more than pauno as he was a fraud. I won’t be starting any ince out threads, partly because I don’t think he’s going to be in charge for very long anyway.

Surprised to see so much negativity.

Ince has had no time to work on the problems. Openly said he can't even start on that until after this game.

We've picked up some points, but all the same weaknesses have unsurprisingly been evident. So we get punished. We only had 3 defenders on the pitch and one of the was out of position.

Oh well. Time to do the work. And sign a defender or two
